Immerse Bible Complete Set (Softcover) (Immerse: The Reading Bible) Paperback – July 19, 2022

Immerse is my favorite bible to read.It's a wonderful, Imaginative and beautiful experience that allows one to get lost in the richness of the text. The little changes (taking out numbers that jumble up the authentic flow, easy to read 'novel' like formatting and simple page layouts) make the greatest difference in the purity of my enjoyment of holy scripture. By my own 'folly', the numbers interjecting the scriptural text wired my mind to always track how far I was reading into the Bible... a constant check list of "how many 'chapters' did I complete today?" This daily habit became a sad and destructive metric where I measured my 'spiritual growth’ based upon the futility of numbers(instead of the heart of Christ being birthed in me). From the outside, my scriptural reading habits may have seemed normal, but in my heart it was a different story. I pray you DO NOT do what I did. IT IS GREATER to be LOST in the magnificence of Christ, THE LIVING WORD HIMSELF, than to have a thousand years of checking religious boxes. I pray purchasing this bible is the beginning of reading the holy scriptures as Christ said they ought to be.I pray you receive Christ's holy loving reframing of scripture as He states in the Gospel of John, "You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that in them you have eternal life, and it is they that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life." It is nothing short of a tragedy to replace a burning desire for the true living Word(Christ) with a cold hearted checklist. The endless spiral of ‘hoping’ to make myself feel a little bit more ‘christian’ is like handing Satan back over the keys to death, hell and the grave. Christ already won it, He gave us victory at the cost of his life and the only thing we need to do is receive this truth(for receiving is believing). It’s receiving the free gift of salvation of Christ in the depth of our being(our hearts) that saves us. & this is not a result of our own ‘doing’ but of Christ who first loved us, and his love that drew us to himself. Now it’s His overflowing love in our hearts… changing us from the inside out.Scripture is not a 'means to an end' for salvation. Words on paper can't save us, but the LIVING Word can. Jesus is the LIVING Word that became flesh and dwelt among us (John's intro to his Gospel Account).Humbly, coming to scripture with an open heart to find Jesus, letting the holy spirit of truth(God), bring the WORD to LIFE in us; this is the only salvation to be found in the scriptures... for outside of Christ and Him crucified we have no way to the Father... There is no other way to salvation than through the rugged cross. "I am the way, the truth and the life" Christ implores us to lay down our burdens, give up our lives and take up our cross’ and follow him. He promises to bring true rest to our souls. Christ’s way is ‘easy’ and the way of his ‘burden is light’(gospel of Mathew).I declare a blessing over your life as you dive into the all-consuming saga of Christ, the holy One, the sacred scriptures in human form, the savior of the universe, the Lamb who was slain before the beginning of the world (Book of Revelation). May you find everlasting peace in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A GREAT NEW way to read the Bible. Reads like a novel but nothing added or omitted

This is a great Bible if you want to learn more about the Bible.

Even thru translation, this is much easier to read and understand.

I’m so excited to get into these books. My husband is even getting into them. These are very well written.

My daughter in college recently started going back to church. She has been very interested in educating herself and these books make it easy for her to understand and we all will start reading.

I have always struggled to get into reading the Bible, barely making it through Genesis and not continuing on. These books make it easier to get into and follow. I like the way it is organized and I use a study bible with additional information to complement it.

Can’t go wrong with this bible set.
