3 Packs Natural Gas Detector

Thankfully, we haven't had any alarms, and also no problems. The alarm just plugs in any outlet. Press the button to test. Eventually, I'll take it outside and expose it to propane - just to see what happens. But right now, I presume it works. A little piece of mind in a home with the recent addition of gas heat.

Value for money, good product

A little hard to snap into place but does prevent slippage.

Local Law 157 says every apartment in NYC MUST have 1 of these Natural Gas Detectors. So far these work after the initial set-up, and we did get 1 for every unit in the this building, plus extras just in case.

These are nice, easy to install, and loud in the automatic announcement when plugged in. However, I hope I am never able to provide a review on how well they work (or don't work). And I am not about to run the gas in the kitchen to test them properly. Oh noooo, noooo! It's a cheap (but not cheaply made) peace of mind for next 3 years, at least, which is the recommended life of these. One thing you should know, if your power goes out and comes back on late at night or wee early in the morn, these reset with a loud voice announcement x3!

Although I haven’t had it go off for gas emission it seems to work and does the functions listed. I was shocked how loud the speaker voice was during initial plug in at it’s activated. So now I feel safe that it is plugged in my kitchen because my old range has knobs that turn easily when bumped. My hips bump the stove knobs and occasionally I smell the propane, but now I have this alarm to tell me sooner hopefully. As soon as this detector is put through the test I will update this review further. If you have gas appliances, this is really a great device to have in the home for any toxic gases. Just plug in and no more worries. This is my honest opinion

My son turned my stove on once and I came home and could smell the gas before I came inside so I bought this in case it happened again. Well I have a bullmastiff puppy that jumped up and turned on my stove. I eventually smelled the gas in my living room. This alarm is about 5 feet from my stove and never made a peep. Not sure how much natural gas has to be present before it will alarm but either way my smoke detector goes off when I barely burn something yet this didn’t go off with my kitchen filling of natural gas? Disappointed!!!
