Heel Protectors
Very nice to protect clients' heels from pressure sores. Please do not put them in the washing machine, wash by hand and allow them to air dry.

Great help
They were soft, warm, and stayed in place

Worst ever
Seams sewn so they are exposed lumps on inside. Sheep skin low quality so not enough wool to protect from bulky seams. Flaps of hide in heal cup exposed without any wool. Using on very narrow feet, ladies size 8 and they just barely rest at low start of instep with the back okf thee cup making it just 1.5 up ankle. I'd a bit more was used to cover instep and up ankle, more comfort/ less irritating fit. The Velcro strap is very stiff and sharp. A double strap would provide better fit and less pain especially as cup shifts greatly due to poor design fit or if feet swell. Purchased two and only one is usable due to extreme poor quality. Added bandage padding made other usable. Definitely an expensive lesson. Do not buy.apologies for bad sentence and spelling (another poor Amazon product choice poorly at work).

Velcro doesn't hold up well
These things are really comfortable but the velcro does not hold up. They really need to find a different way to attach it.

Nice but don't stay on in bed
These are well made and very soft. However, I bought them for my husband to wear in bed. They do not stay on when he moves in bed. I will need to add straps or maybe a very stretchy sock to wear over this heel protector.

Very helpful and comfy for post achilles surgery
My achilles surgery turned out to be more involved than I planned. I was really suffering with the boot, there was too much play in the heel area, and it was rubbing on my incision and it didn't hold my heel securely. This sheepskin heel protector totally solved that problem! It adds padding to my bruised feeling heel, and it snugs my heel into my boot, keeping my heel from moving and sliding around. I wear a longer, white sock with reinforced toe/heel, and then place this heel protector over it. Put my boot on, and it's like night and day as far as comfort goes. I went in for a doctor follow up last week, and my surgeon was really interested in it. Can't believe I'm the first patient to use such a thing, but he acted like he'd never seen one before, and I suspect he'll be recommending them to other patients! Only thing, and I don't feel it's worth docking a point for, is that it has an odd smell when it warms up from the heat of my foot. It gets a small moist spot, that smells a bit weird. But it dries back up, and odor goes away. I'm guessing it is some type of residual from the tanning process?

Best investment
A lot better then the synthetic Space boots that hospitals and rehab’s that patients hate Breathable, easy to put on , nicely made, just enough thickness for protection and aided in the healing of bedsores on heel. Best of all my husband never managed to get then off because cause of comfortable design

Still having strap/velcro issues
These are very expensive if you need a pair. Compared to what else is out there, I felt that I needed to make the (huge) leap in price to get some quality that would address my heel issues. I didn't pay enough attention to the 1-star reviews, as I see they are all strap related. That they changed the strap to elastic isn't the problem, the problem for me is that they apparently didn't change the "landing spot" for the new strap. The strap with the velcro plush comes over the top of the foot "lengthwise", but the sewn strip of hooks on the bootie is high up and "sideways", meaning the velcro doesn't meet up or mate up - it goes right on past, and I have large feet. They come off way too easily, and I often find them somewhere in the bed in the morning, with me still having red chafed heels. Now I have to sew new velcro onto leather, or stitch the strap to shorten it with the velcro still making an "X".

My husband developed a pressure sore on his heel in early 2025 and it got infected. Thereafter, we used a rolled up bathsheer at the bottom of our bed. Getting settled in at night was awkward. Some suggested these heel protectors and they are terrific. My husband just slips them on, closes them with the velcro strap at night. We are no longer worried about pressure sores. We purchased 2 as Allan has 2 feet. WARNING: the price indicated is for just ONE (1).

I’m disappointed, I bought this for my mom across the country , she’s bedridden in the hospital. Although it’s nice, there is only ONE heel protector, not two as it’s shown online .

Very cosy and comfortable. Expensive but does the job.

The product itself seemed fine, but I needed to protect a pressure sore on the outside edge of my foot. The heel protector did not come as far forward as the suggested in the photograph – the model must have a tiny foot. Although I assumed that my foot would be larger, I underestimated the difference. The product was returned.
