Because it's thicker, this mat has lot more squish to it than many other anti-fatigue mats. It's very comfortable for standing on and is sized well for a standing desk, a workstation or even for use in a kitchen, basement or other areas where the floors are hard and you'll be doing a lot of standing in one area.There is a texture on the back of the mat that helps keep it from slipping around. The top of the mat is smooth and doesn't have any pattern or labeling on it. I've stood on this mat in athletic shoes, flats and heels and it's comfortable in all of them. The surface of the mat held up fine to me walking around in heels on it. She shoes didn't leave any indentations or cut into the mat's surface at all.It's pricey, but it's much thicker than similar mats. Works well to help prevent leg fatigue and very comfortable to stand on.

The Startech Anti-Fatigue Mat has done a surprisingly efficient job of relieving fatigue in my feet and legs as I stand at my desk. If I have any criticism, it is that it was a bit large for my immediate desk space but that is an issue of location and may not apply to today''s office work spaces. My office space is set up very old school so having both the mat and the chair is a competition for space. However, I have come to accommodate the mat by pushing my swivel chair away. Being able to stand on this mat has really helped my lower back. Due to a car wreck injury, there comes that point where I must stand up due to the pain of sitting for extended periods of time. The Startech Anti-fatigue Mat is exactly what I have needed for better relief. I know it wasn't necessarily designed for people like me but if you have a bad back and are an office worker, give this standing anti-fatigue mat a try.

We have to anti-fatigue mats in our kitchen. One of them is the one in this review, and the other one is made by a competitor. They are both the same size and both are dark colored. The main difference between this anti-fatigue mat and others yes that in my experience the other one is a little more stiff under foot. This mat is a touch softer than others that I have used in the past.That said, it is still comfortable, durable, and has served well in my kitchen for a couple of months now. My wife and I use our kitchen a lot! If this was not a durable product, it would already be messed up. However, it is holding up very well and does not appear to stain and it certainly has not torn or had other damage done to it. We recommend it highly.

Not really sure how useful this is. My floors are carpeted, so adding this mat may have added only a marginal level of softness. You do feel that it is softer but, from the few days that I have been using, it didn't seem like there was much benefit to using this mat. It does look high quality though.

I don't have a standing desk and it would not work for my joint disability. However, any prolonged standing is very painful for me and standing mats help tremendously with those tasks, especially washing dishes. This is a great one for that. It provides excellent cushioning and yet does not distort balance. Its just the right size for near my kitchen sink. The beveled edges prevent tripping. I'm very pleased with it and have significantly less joint pain after a standing task.

I use the Startech anti-fatigue mat in my kitchen. That is where I do the most standing and I need something to help me while I am preparing food and washing up. I noticed the difference immediately. Even my daughter noticed how comfortable standing on it was. I appreciate the fact that the mat is non-slip.I also have a standing desk in my computer room and I plan to bring the mat into that room whenever I have long hours at the computer. It is an amazing mat for standing long hours.

Great mat for standing at your desk, in your kitchen or while you're working out. I've also used it in the back of my hatchback... while I take a nap. Material is good and solid but with enough give to please the feet (or back).I would give it 5 stars except I have two minor issues. First, it seems a little short. When I'm preparing food in the kitchen or standing at my tall desk, I tend to move around a little. The mat feels just a tad too confining. Rachael Ray Anti-Fatigue Kitchen Mat, Black is a little longer, although it may not fit under your desk.Second, it is fairly expensive. I can get a pad from a local hardware store for a lot less. However, the Startech pad may (and probably will) hold up a lot longer... and it feels better. I think it is guaranteed for a year or two but really, who is going to bother shipping it back if it starts falling apart? I certainly won't.Despite my reservations, and especially if cost isn't much of an issue, it seems like a great multi-purpose mat.
