We have a dog who can open all the doors, and in desperation we purchased this for our front door.We wanted something that would automatically lock, but that would have the option of being able to open from outside.Game changer for us - but the dog is very upset that he cant open the door anymore !!A bit fiddly to install, but well worth the effort

My wife bought this for me as she has prime, and I don't. Product arrived promptly, and Eventually fitted OK. BUT... If you look at the pictures, there is a small brass fitting that secures the release cable to the latch, with a tiny steel? screw to hold the cable in place. The tiny Hex key tightens the screw. The screw was fitted the wrong way round. You have to remove the screw completly, (Don't Drop It...!) turn it around, and fit it the other way. You can now see the impression where the hex key fits, and tighten as required (don't over-tighten, adjust as necessary). Hope this helps.
