This hat is beautiful, however it was packaged in a bag that wasn't sealed thoroughly. It was raining out, so it had little droplets of water on it, but it survived.

I got this in a hurry for a photo shoot and didn't expect much of it, but I was pleasantly surprised! It has a strong and flexible wire in the brim to allow for shaping. It is VERY easy to manipulate into any style you want. I had it with the brim up, down, sideways, and flat. It easily returns to whatever shape you want. It's a little big for my tiny head, but since I will usually wear it with a wig, it doesn't really bother me. And when I don't have a wig on, I use the elastic band to keep it on my head. The wind was whipping pretty bad at some points during the shoot, but that little elastic was a charm for keeping the hat perfectly in place!It's made from 100% paper and to remove the folds inescapably created from shipping I just wet it with a damp cloth and then used my heat gun on it. I imagine a steamer would work just as well.I adore this hat and I am so glad I got it!

This hat looked really cute online and honestly, it would have been cute in person, if they hadn't folded it for shipping. It came folded in half with other creases in it and I took it out of the box immediately and tried to rescue it. I tried water to remove the creases and reshape it but it didn't work. Next, I tried steam, but that didn't work either. There are massive creases and folds and the hat is misshapen and there's nothing I can do to fix it. I ended up tossing it in the trash right away. Now I know better than to order a hat online. I would never recommend this to a friend.

I bought to wear for sun protection at the pool. Hat lost color where pool water splashed on it after the first use.

I get that this product might not be for everyone depending on the look that they're going for. But to me the ability to fold up and pack a hat like this for a trip is ideal. If you're looking for a hat that's going to look pristine and pressed this might not be the one for you. The Hat fold up and can easily fit into a suitcase, carry on bag, or beach bag. I took this hat on a trip to Mexico and it worked perfectly for fitting in my bag but also I found was ideal for lounging by the pool or being able to wear it on a slightly windy day. With some effort you can manipulate the shape of the Hat to be a smooth as desired I'm sure that if it's left open for a certain amount of time it probably would improve its shape slightly more. It holds its shape as you Flex it pretty much anywhere on the Hat. I found this very helpful when I was laying on a beach chair and wanted to lean back I could fold the hat to go behind my head but then also full the front forward if I wanted to shade my eyes from the Sun. Also there's an elastic strap that's attached to the Hat. I would have preferred it or not white in color as my hat was black... But despite it slightly dorky appearance I can easily conceal it with my hair. If I did not have the strap on the hat at certain times during my trip I certainly would have lost my hat in the wind. And personally I kind of liked its slightly rough appearance instead of a perfectly smooth texture... But that's just me either way I find that hat like this is definitely a handy one to have in your collection.

It's definitely a sun hat, it's cute. But I bought it because a lot of the reviews said that the rim was bendable - it isn't, it flopped right in my face and no matter how hard I tried to keep it up it did not hold. There is no wire. It also said it has an adjustable string attached, it does not. It has an elastic band. It is very wrinkly when it first arrived and I am hoping to be able iron it out. I do have a bigger head and it did fit however.
