Given how unpleasant it is for some of us to digest lactose without the proper enzymes, I rely on Lactaid to enjoy cheese and other dairy products. The packaging of these tablets makes them more expensive than a bottle of capsules. But then again, the Lactaid is only helpful if I have it with me when I am eating. And more often than not, I am eating at a restaurant, or at work, or someone's home when I want to indulge. One or two of these well-packaged tablets can easily be tucked into a wallet for someone who doesn't carry a purse, or a small purse for those who do.
