Mater's Birthday Surprise (Disney/Pixar Cars) (Step into Reading)

Ordered this for our grandson’s birthday. But I sent it to us not him. I hit wrong address? But it’s such a cute book! Love these books! But them because they hold up well with toddlers. The Disney cars are his favorite! But we’re going down and will take it to him. These books I buy all the time for both our grandchildren. The colors and pictures are wonderful. So are the stories! There easy for them to hold and enjoy. And they really seem to old up with them.

Fun story, easy read with simple sentences for new readers. Graphics highlight the text, giving clues to various concepts. Recommend highly.

Homeschooling my son and loved the level one books so we decided to purchase the level 2 reading books.

Our five year-old son LOVES this book and has requested it to be read to him almost every night over the last few weeks. I almost have it memorized. :-) The story is an easy read before bedtime or any time. It is also simple enough that he can begin reading it to himself, since he's now learning to read. Each page has simple words and short sentences with fun pictures and bright colors. And each story has a nice moral to teach. While other Disney Cars books have stickers, this one does not.The Step into Reading series 2 books are very nice starter books for a child who is learning to read. But it's quick read, so if you're looking for a book to read at bedtime, you might want to add a number of other books like this. I read three or four of these a night before he starts to fall asleep.

We have a Disney Cars lover and this book was perfect for him. The only reason we removed a star was because the book arrived with a strange perfume-y smell. We’ve now had the book for months and the smell is the same. This totally could be a one-off scenario and we would still purchase the book again if need be.

My kids love this book. We read it all the time. It’s super cute and they like finding Mater on all the pages.

A special book for a special 3 year old fan of Mater! I love the Step Into Reading books! They are great to help your child learn to read. The stories are short with great pictures! I have always had my kids use pictures as clues to tell me their own story! Anything to help build literacy skills. Level 2 is geared towards children Preschool to 1st Grade. I have added a few pictures below !
