Connect Roku to old TV
It works fine. I was able to quickly connect an extra Roku device to an old TV with the video inputs. I just have to have the TV set to video and it works just like an other TV. So, for a few bucks I was able to utilize a non-digital TV without a converter for just a few bucks - and keeping it out of the landfill.

Does the job well
We had to change cable boxes recently because the support for our old ones were going to end soon and they would no longer work. It was an annoying process as we also had to put in new modems, but after several hours everything was set up. Unfortunately the new ones only have hdmi and we have an older 35 inch Sony tv we occasionally use in the basement once we got a flat screen for the family room. Didn’t want to get a new tv but this adapter allows the continued use of it. It did require using power cable to the adapter and because the aspect ratio is not wide screen on the tv , the full screen image is slightly altered but otherwise works great with decent quality image and easy to plug in and use. Certainly much more cost effective option than getting a new tv in area we only use occasionally.

Pretty good
It works well, looks like they fixed the flipped PAL/NTSC switch as it works properly for me. Apparently it can be powered off HDMI in certain circumstances. Video quality is about as good as you're gonna get with Composite Video, don't expect the signal to suddenly be as good as HDMI because we're talking a years old standard that often outputs a maximum resolution of 480p. Helps keep old CRT TVs useful, can be used to plug in modern game consoles/PCs, streaming dongles, etc into a CRT TV or pre-HDMI LCD TV.The only real gripe I have about the product is how obviously cheap and light it is. Then again, you only paid so much for it. I would also complain about the lack of included Composite cables but I bought some General Electric branded Composite cables and they worked great, getting cables from a trusted brand is a better idea imo anyways. If you want better video quality, though, look elsewhere (like S-Video or RGB) as this thing is very much hampered by the limitations of Composite Video, which is no fault of the product as much as the standard itself.

Works great with a good cable
I really only want to point out one important thing, the quality of your RCA cable (R/W/Y) is important for this device to record properly. The first time I used it I connected the first RCA cable I found laying around. It was a really cheapo lightweight cable and the results were not so good. The video was dropping frames and I was considering returning it. As a last ditch effort I looked for a better quality cable and found one that is probably three times the thickness of the cheapo cable. Now the recordings are exceptional. Just a little FYI, I'm using it to record video from the HDMI output of a Roku Express to the RCA input of a device that is no longer available for purchase (at least what I can find). I record to a Phillips HDD (hard disk) and DVD player/recorder. This is the best $10 I've spent in quite some time.

Item not recommended. Bad quality.
Very bad quality. It only worked once. Next time I wanted to use it after a few weeks, it was dead, no image or sound. Unfortunately my return window is closed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product.

awesum
found a crt in my nanna’s garage and wanted to hook my roku box to it. this little adapter makes it work perfectly!!! no issues whatsoever and easy to install. only downside is that because of streaming, watching older media is a pain because of sidebars you can’t do much about. but that’s more of a pet peeve lol :p

Works as advertised, but failed after 5 months
Works as advertised to convert HDMI to AV. I have had this for several months now and use it distribute channel 3 to our household TVs via a channel 3 AV converter to our household cable system. My unit failed after 5 months of usage. I ordered another one to replace. Hope this one last much longer
