Bodum 11883-57US Melior Gooseneck Electric Water Kettle, 27 Ounces, Matte Silver

Bought this for my wife to use with her V60 coffee filter as it allows for slow precise pouring over the ground coffee. Loved the styling and esthetics of this kettle. It came fitted with a US plug, so I had to spend extra on a US to UK adapter. Sadly after a couple of uses the bottom section of the kettle leaked out producing a pool of water under and around the base it sits on. Slightly worried that it was soaking an electrical connection. I reported the issue and Amazon have provided a return label and will be refunding my Amazon account. Wasn't confident in taking a replacement for this one. Will buy an alternative one with my credit. Now stuck with a US plug adapter that I don't need. Won't be returning it as it's not faulty. Worked just fine with this kettle.

bought it for pour over coffee, it look nice, quality stainless steel kettle from bodum it’s 1000w only, a bit slow, to boil 800ml of water it needs 5 minutes cork material handle and lid knob look fancy, however it’s difficult to clean, also water will penetrate into it anyway, it works well for pour over coffee, stable water flow if you handle it well

The kettle was to small for our everyday use

I am very disappointed with this product. We have tried it a few days after receiving it and have immediately noticed a problem. No matter if you fill it up to the max, half of it or to a minimum, the kettle will pour water out of its hose as it is boiling and drench your countertop. There is also steam coming out of both the top and the bottom of the kettle which burned my husband's figer very badly as he was trying to prevent any further mess to be made by this kettle. Dangerous and useless ...

Love this kettle, size, shape and performance but the black pain is not robust and after 2 years looks like this. wish I had bought the stainless steel one.

I’d searched for this item online and it came up as an item from Amazon however a wait little did I know it was to be shipped to the UK with a US plug… Kettle itself is as presented.

Very pretty item, but shoots scalding water from the spout while it is boiling, and leaks from the top and bottom. Absolutely dreadful. I considered giving it to charity until I realised how irresponsible that was.

My product was designed for USA, cost more to return it than the purchase price and leaked from the base, don’t think I should pay to return it to the USA so going to bin it. Only buy this one if your in the USA

All steel inside. Cute, small, perfect for quick pour setup on small counter. For those who complained about leaking, etc. I have not had that experience in over a year of use. Maybe they fill it past the max fill tab? Don't do that, should be okay. Possible manufacture defect, but mine has been good. Black paint may scuff, so handle with care. I dump excess water after use, which is once or twice a day for over a year. Looks new inside. So, go for it. It's a cute small kettle with no plastic, except for the base.

I didn't pay enough attention to the capacity of this kettle so was surprised at how petite it was. Will boil enough for 2 standard cups of tea. Heats quickly, very nicely finished, love the interior water level gauge and the cork handle (and lid knob) comfortable to the touch. Initially resisted purchasing as wasn't confident the cork would hold up in the long run. Still not confident but it's a lovely little kettle and I'm happy enough with it thus far that I could probably rig up replacement knob+handle. I really like this little kettle, it's darling.

Love it, heats quickly, looks nice. On the smaller side so if you have a family of tea drinkers you might want to go with something larger but for two people it’s perfect. No plastic parts on the inside.
