A beautiful story
This story is being played out in homes everywhere. We are watching our dearly loved ones denied the right to a gentle passing. How much more pain can we bear, how much longer will these fragile people suffer because of politicians, religious zealots, and uncaring doctors? This family has suffered so much, as did my family and so many other families, it has to stop.

Honest, raw and from the heart. Some biographical stories get a bit boring with unneeded details - this has a great flow and keeps pulling you in. As you may have guessed from the description, it is not a happy happy joy joy book, but there were a few laughs and great to read to realise how lucky you are (compared to the author's experience), or to find solace with someone who has had similar suffering.

Recommended if Facing Dementia
A very personal story shared from the author's perspective. Although I read this to conclusion, at times it was tough to read. Very personal. I never did find the fun part. For anyone facing dementia in any form, this is a recommended read.

So much more than a story about dementia
This book is a must read.. It's so much more than a story about dementia. It's raw, emotional and sheds a light on journey that so many are a apart of right now. Jake has done a fantasic job of raising awarness about this disease that is so often seen as a normal part of aging. This book is very emotional however you won't be able to put it down.

Emotional Rollercoaster and Lots to Learn
Always Remember This is the beautiful story of a family whose mother has been struck down by a cruel degenerative form of dementia called Pick's disease, which began when Jacquie was only 48.The author, Jake Heath, has painstakingly recorded the family's journey and the heartache and devastation the disease has caused his mum, and all of those close to her.It is raw and it is horrific and it is unfair, but it is the reality of what so many families go through, often alone and with nowhere to express the range of emotions and grief that dementia causes. ART is unique in its honesty and charting of the decline of Jake's beloved mum, along with the pain and confusion that is with him every day. It's a must read for everyone who has a family, and anyone who has experienced what this family is going through now.
