I ordered a TLSO brace, but shipping was going to take too long, so I ordered this to try in the interim. I suffered a compression fracture of my T5, which healed wrong, causing a deformity and also taking 2" off my anterior height. It's very painful for me to both stand and walk, and often to even sit, so I had to have something. This isn't quite supportive enough for MY injury, but it does help quite a bit and is the most supportive of any other brand of this type that I've tried. Most thoracic fractures are T12 or lower, so my T5 fracture is very uncommon. Thus, I don't think there's anything negative about this brace at all. As I said, it's the best of any brand I've tried, and I think it's because it has two long metal strips going down the back and two shorter ones along the sides, offering much more support. That may make it sound uncomfortable, but it amazingly isn't at all. It also doesn't require someone else to help you put it on after it's been adjusted to your personal fit either, which most rigid TLSO braces do. I think Fit Geno put a lot more thought into the design of this brace than other companies. Most just have thicker material or magnets and neither type was of benefit to me. I had to walk a good distance from street parking on another block to my doctor and PT appointments just a few days ago. Normally, I would've been in terrible pain before even getting there, but this brace made a huge difference. Normally, I wouldn't be able to sit in a regular chair afterward either because the pain would be so bad that I had to lie down, but my pain was greatly reduced and made it possible to sit without the pain becoming any worse. This brace is pretty decent for me, so it may be perfect for people with different injuries. If your injury is farther down than the T5, since that is not common at all, this may work just fine for you. I'd recommend giving it a shot, as it is much less expensive than the rigid TLSO braces, and much more comfortable, too! This isn't labeled as a TLSO brace, so I'm not trying to say that it is. I'm just saying that it's a pretty good substitute for one, and you may not even require that type of brace, so I would recommend it over any other brands that are labeled to do the same as this one. My injury is very uncommon in its location and not correctable since it healed wrong. If those two things don't apply to you, then save yourself the time and trouble of ordering and having to return the wrong brace and just order this brace, period. Good luck. This is fantastic! The shoulder straps are comfortable when wearing for extended periods of time. My old back brace felt horrible and always irritated the skin in the armpit area. This one does not… I can even wear it under my clothes with no skin irritation. I love how easy it is to adjust the degree of support in the shoulders. For me, that’s a game changer as one of my shoulders tends to pull forward due to my mild scoliosis. I also really like the added structure on the backside of the brace because it helps to keep my spine straighter for better posture as well. I’m a full-time mom and homemaker so I wear this brace all day while working around the house and I don’t have neck and shoulder pain after a long day which has eliminated the tension headaches and need for ibuprofen. I wear it on my daily walks too and it’s helped tremendously. I can easily get in an hour of walking without shoulder and neck strain. I would’ve given it 5 stars but I only rated it 4 stars because even though I followed the size chart body measurements and felt confident that the size I ordered would be a good fit, it was definitely more snug than I thought it would be. There’s not much wiggle room in the sizing if your measurements are at the end of the stated size range. However, I’ve just enough space on the waistband to fit securely. I’m making the L/XL size work, but I definitely could’ve used another inch of waist room in order for it to be a perfect fit in terms of comfort because it does feel too tight around the waist at times especially if I’m moving around and bending over a lot. But overall, I’m happy with it and it’s helping my neck, shoulders and posture quite a lot.

Ummm so at first it was meh.. but I said maybe it’s the discomfort of being forced I can natural fix my back but being held felt just too much. I said I’d give it some time. Then as I stood in my kitchen and stopped to look down it hit me I felt even with instruction they don’t specify this. It’s great adjustment.. posture everything it claims but it won’t if you make the mistake I did at first.. adjust the lower part. The first direction around your tummy like a waist trainer.. lower then you’d likely put just going off basic directions given. Once you got it tight around your belly not lower fupa but just right about waistline. Again similar to those sweat tummy wraps or a waist trainer. Then follow the rest. Otherwise it will not really help with posture if it’s too high you will actually try to slouch more naturally because that plate in the back isn’t meant for your upper back it’s meant for lower back. The straps will barely pull your shoulders back and the amount it does will hurt. So if you spend money which I haven’t testing while working at my laptop which is what I got it for.. so far tho that slight acknowledgment made the difference. I’m kinda a medium/large size.. I’m 158 ish lol I fluctuate and I am more bottom heavy but the size was good I can see me comfortably wearing this through the day. It’s also cute to me the pink is like a light bubble gum pink.

Don't be fooled into thinking this is a back brace - it is 20% back brace and 80% posture correction. S0 if you have a bad back, like I do, it's just one more "close but no cigar" brace for your arsenal. For the price it is pretty good, and even though I am not thrilled, it is worth keeping. BUT here's how they could make it great: 1- The overall length should be 8-10 inches longer so that it supports the entire back. As is, it mostly supports the mid to high back 2- The shoulder straps should be adjustable right on the front where it is easy to get to them. Right now you really have to take it off to access the shoulder straps so it is a time consuming pain to get them just right. 3- the shoulder straps need to be completely redesigned so that they are much more comfortable - too much material is going under the shoulder making it uncomfortable in the armpit. You need more padding up top and the portion going under the armpit should be much thinner. 4- it would be great if it had more adjustable straps overall, so it could be used for better back support.

I just received this product this morning and wore it for 2 hours. I was able to put it on myself easily, which is improtant as I am almost 70 years old, overweight & have severe scoliosis. It is lightweight & surprisingly comfortable. It immediately gave upper back relief, however it created discomfort in my neck & shoulders because they are forced into correct posture position, something they haven't been in for many years. I will review again in a few weeks to let you know how well the product lasts, can be cleaned and unltimately works. The instructions don't provide some very important points. This isn't an immediate fix, unless you are a young, skinny person who just slouches :). The first day adjust it until it is a firm, secure fit & you feel pressure & straightening in the most curved part of your spine. Each day, as your back straightens you will need to further tighten the straps and if your condition is severe ,it may be more frequent than that. I had to adjust mine twice in 2 hours. Don't plan on immediately wearing this all day & performing all your normal tasks. Listen to your body and take it off when your muscles have had enough for one day. You also won't be able to perform tasks that require a lot of movement of your arms (or even just your dominant arm) as you will end up with a chafed armpit (or side boob, if you are a heavy breasted person) or performing tasks that require bending or twising. You may have to confine the wearing, at least at first, to while you are watching tv, taking a walk or doing computer work where you predominately use your mouse instead of the keyboard, thus limiting arm movement. The more severe your posture issues &the longer you have had them, the longer this will take. Be patient. Adjust the device gradually and, of course, if you have any severe pain, see a doctor. After a few weeks I will post before and after pictures.

This back brace works fairly well. It helps pull my shoulders back and reminds me to stand up straighter. It is not very comfortable, but you’re only supposed to wear it a maximum of two hours per day. Certain activities are not possible while wearing it, as it does chafe a bit it you are reaching up to clean something.
