It was exactly as expected. Replaced one of the older wind up Baby Ben's. It was still working. I preferred the battery one.

I love this little clock. It's so simple, yet so elegant, exactly what Westclox promises. Given my very English ancestry, I chose it because of its obvious connection with the great clock in my beloved London. Thank you.

I bought this clock to replace a key wind Equity that I have had for years. The old clock still runs but it has started to act a little squirrelly. I mainly use this clock as a back up to the plug-in electric clock. This new clock is a little smaller than my old one and definitely more plasticity. The clock seems to be substantial enough. It has a louder tick than the old clock. My wife did not complain about the ticking (SURPRISE) and it doesn't bother me. When you wind the clock, you wind the alarm also. The old clock has a separate alarm wind. One wind does all is okay. The key winds clockwise and is a little tight. The old clock winds counter clockwise. No biggy, just different. If you have large fingers the winding may be a little difficult as the winding key is small. The alarm is not particularly loud and unless you are a very sound sleeper that should not be a problem. The alarm switch is just that, a switch (think light switch). If you want to turn the alarm off before the alarm cycle stops you will have to physically pick the clock up and turn the switch. The old clock has a push button that disables the alarm. The bright side is that the alarm cycle is about 10 - 15 seconds before it turns itself off. I have been using this clock about a month now and have no major complaints. It runs a tad fast but not enough to consider adjusting it. Keep in mind this is a mechanical clock and not a quartz clock. Don't look for plus or minus one or two second accuracy per month. I would not recommend using this as your main timepiece. For me this clock is just what I was looking for and I would buy it again. The delivery was within the times quoted and I have no problems with this company.

The Baby Ben Alarm Clock is not alarming. The clock is working fine, it's just that the alarm does not work. (it must be some minor thing with my personal Baby Ben Alarm Clock. But it's keeping me from getting up at 5 a.m. as I had hoped to.

I was disappointed in the product. I received it today and tried to install the battery. Immediately after pushing the battery up against the spring that holds it in, the spring disappeared down inside the clock. There is a hole in that area and apparently the spring was not attached very well at all. There is no sign of glue in that area at all. Even if I retrieved the spring from inside the clock, I'd need to figure out how to attach it to the wall of battery area. So the clock is now junk. Poor design, the spring should be attached in some way.

Pretty loud. Woke up my teen that sleeps through anything. Recommend! Nice small size too that will not take over desk.

I love the classic design of this clock as it gives a nice vintage charm to my nightstand. The black and gold style also help with how elegant it looks without being too flashy. The alarm is loud enough to wake me up, it has worked really well since I got it, and it's also very easy to set the alarm by simply adjusting the alarm hand counterclockwise to my preferred wake-up time. The numbers are easy to read, even from across my room. Overall, it's solid and well-made, runs on just one AA battery, and has been reliable at waking me up.

I love this clock! I recently have had a change in my medication and require to take it at specific times of the day. I needed a clock that where the alarm was easily reset WITHOUT having to push buttons three times a day. This little beauty combines the simplicity of the old style clocks(which use little knobs in the back to set time and alarm) and modern style that uses a battery for power and is quiet. NO tic toc driving you nuts in the middle of the night. LOVE IT!!!

Keeps accurate time and wakes me up just in time for breakfast!
