Amazing set and takes me back to being a kid in the 80’s

I built it myself even though I am 12! It took me 3 days to build! Looks awesome in both modes! It is quite easy to transform! Just the 8th step is tricky because he can be a bit fragile and the waist falls apart, so I take the upper part of the torso off and put it back on every time I transform him. I am really proud of myself how I built it myself! And the instructions book has Optimus Prime's stats and it lets you know more about Optimus Prime and the original Optimus Prime toy. It is unbelievable how 2 brands made it together and the design is awesome! I am really happy with this set!

The set is tremendous fun both to build and play with. My kids love it - and so do I. The fact that it transforms when built is really very clever and showcases what is possible with lego. You have to decide whether it is a downside or an upside that you are going to want to get more transformers to go with him... bumblebee is also great but there isn't a megatron yet! But maybe you can build one yourself?!?

It looks like a quality bit of kit. Hopefully my grandson will like it.

I love Lego, and my wife decided to buy me this for my 41st birthday (I'm a big kid at heart, aren't we all?) It is a big old box and I was excited to start building it, easy to follow instructions as usual with Lego, and I decided to build it over a week, one to two bags per day, it took me 7 days so I hit my target. The final construction is good, but feels flimsy and complicated to change into the autobot, it does looks super cool, however, I wouldn't recommend this for a child, as its slightly complicated to build All in I'd give it a 5 out of 5 Side note, the LEGO came in plastic packaging, with a note saying more sustainable options are on the way, that will be nice to see

Maybe it's not, but if you ever had a G1 Opimus (or didn't because your parents thought go bots were the same) as a kid, you'll want this model, A satisfying build, some excellent mechanics and the ability to transform it, make this a perfect gift for a bit of middle aged man relaxation, Though i warn you, support the waist when you pick it up, or those legs might not come with the body, Now when are they releasing megatron and starscream.......

Really loved building this set, it’s a very clever model that looks utterly incredible. If you are a fan of Lego and Transformers it’s a must buy. My 6 year old daughter enjoyed helping me build the model (with support) and now even my 3 year old daughter knows of Optimus Prime!

Fajny zestaw dla miłośników Transformersów, dla pozostałych niekoniecznie (stosunkowo drogi).

It's amazing. Kept my eight year old grandson occupied for more than a fortnight. He took about seven hours to assemble it and still loves it even after more than a month. Great value for money. I think it's a lifelong acquisition.

It was a really nice piece of Lego. My little brother loved it and it is definitely a great gift for anyone who likes Transformers.
