We found it to be effective, helped reduce child's coughing significantly and he enjoyed taking them. (He is 6) . It is a bit hard to open (fold it 2 different ways before you can rip it open) but i get that is also for safety, I mention it only as a heads up

They do the trick but my kids did not like the taste at all. We had to switch to Claritin dye free.

Since I live within view of what this company has done to Seattle, I try not to order much here. But Safeway had this same package for $23.99 and Amazon had it for $13.38, and so here I am.This particular antihistamine is excreted by the kidneys with little liver metabolism, which works well for my particular medical conditions, and being a second generation, hydrophilic molecule, it does not cross the BBB and make one sleepy. This one is a winner.
