As described and has good quality too. The cable is very flexible. It includes good quality end connectivity that will hold into the device well. The cable is about pencil diameter which is thicker than most.

I have used a number of optical cables over the years, but this one is one of the best ones I have tried. First, I purchased the 10 foot length as the cables that come with most electronics are frustratingly short. The optical cable that this one is replacing was embarrasingly thin and low quality. This was a perfect length for me to hook up my new television to my soundbar.It feels robust and like a quality product when I have it in my hands. The transition from the cable itself to the optical connection feels very well done and I have no fear of it ripping or splitting. The cable itself is very flexible. The connections themselves sit very firmly in the components that they attach to, which I appreciate. I have no worries of them accidentally coming unhooked.The sound is great, the quality of construction and of the connection points themselves is excellent. For the price it is hard to imagine a better value for the money. I will buy this again when the need arises in the future. 5 stars. Highly recommend!

Amazon-branded products do give peace of mind (except for some razor blades I got a while ago).This cable works perfectly, as intended, comes in perfectly packaged and is affordable.While I was looking for an optical cable, Amazon offered the best price-specs overall.Cable is very sturdy.Have been using it for months with no issues at all.

I was skeptical about some of the reviews regarding the plug not staying in place. When I first plugged it in, (temporarily) it didn't seem to fit right but worked ok after pushing it in rather hard.When chasing the cable down inside the wall for the permanent installation. I accidentally discovered a very small (hard to notice) protective cap on each end just covering the metal tip. After removing the cap the plug snapped into place just as I would have expected. Also found that the quality of sound was improved.My hunch regarding the poor reviews of the plug not remaining in place may be because the cap was not removed.
