UGEARS rock.
I love the 3d wooden models. And the UGEAR models seem to be very high quality. I build them, give them to my G'son. He loves them!

Fun to build. It's a complex project!
Classic Model Car Kit (Model-T) from UGEARS company. As usual it comes on several sheets of model plywood. The parts are laser cut with small points that are NOT cut. Those points hold the parts in the sheet until removal. I sealed all sheets with two light coats of acrylic clear spray before starting the project. I liked the idea of building this car. The plywood sheets were not quite as good as I was used to from UGEARS. Many places had a much rougher texture which made it harder to smoothly paint. Getting the rear transmission to work properly took time and tinkering. Make sure you wax/lubricate the gears and surfaces. ———— One thing I want to mention. DON’T use the steering wheel to try and turn the front wheels!! Use your two hands to position the front wheels. The steering column is NOT designed to move the front wheels. It WILL break after a few attempts. ———— Parts are all numbered and matched to the 63 page instruction book. When you separate the parts from the sheets you have to sand the part edges smooth for painting and for a smooth mechanical operation. Make sure all parts/assemblies fit snug and tight. Otherwise later you will have to correct the error. It took me quite a while to put the car together and make it work. I had to separate parts from the sheets according to which color I wanted to spray paint them. The spray paint takes about five days to dry/cure. Other parts were hand colored with oil paint pens. That paint takes about 24 hours to fully dry. Hope you have good time putting it together!

Very Challenging But Fun Build
This is the second wooden puzzle/model that I have done and this one was definitely a challenge! The first one was from a different company and you can tell a big difference in the quality and attention to detail of the Ugears models. Take your time and go over each step several times before snapping parts together! Once together, they are hard to get apart. In step 3, make sure you trap the spring between the two pieces. Be very careful snapping parts off of the sheets! Just go slowly and work your way around the part in stages instead of all at once. Sand the burrs off of everything and wax, wax, wax every where they show you in the instructions. I was able to not break any part during this build. As far as the parts that are designed to bend, I found it helpful to sand the backside really well and it seemed to make them bend a little easier. On the rear fenders, make sure you don’t snap the upper and lower fender together fully until you bend the fender around and lock it in. Then snap them together. Otherwise, it’s easy to break the fender trying to bend it. As another reviewer said, I also lowered the air cleaner and added a couple of spare parts on top for a cleaner look! Loved this build and plan on doing more Ugears soon!

5 stars!
I really enjoyed building this one. I had no issues getting any of the parts loose from the sheets. As with any wood models you you want to carefully work the pieces out. The two features on this one I like the most is that the doors handles slide to open and close the doors using a wood spring instead of rubber bands and the rear axle has all the gears so each rear wheel can move independently. The engine rocks side to side when it runs. Also has 4 wheel suspension. I have not been able to get it to drive in forward and reverse while on the ground but it does work. I believe this is due to me adding colors, clearcoat and gold leaf to moving parts. As I continue to mess with it these should loosen up and it should start to move on its own. The instructions are easy to understand and be sure to use the provided wax in all areas that have movement. The instructions also show where to apply wax.

Missing springs.
I have built several of these kits from Ugears and never had parts missing. As other reviewers have stated for over a year apparently many kits are missing the 4 suspension springs. UGears do you read your reviews???? Disappointing.

Major Fun
The "Hot Rod Furious Mouse by UGEARS is a great 3D puzzle to put together. The kit includes a tool to help remove the parts from their board and all parts fit and work well on this puzzle. There are many gears that intertwine in a truly fun way. I love that it works! I highly recommend this for those 10yrs up. Great for adults too. 5 stars!
