Best value for the price. This Tuff Stuff alternator offered more amps for the dollar then any other. It’s also a one wire setup which makes installing it very easy. And you can get rid of the old regulator.

Looks and feels like a quality alternator, works great so far.I did have clock the alternator to fit my application which is not hard to do.I see reviews where people seemed to have this same issue but did not understand that alternator part numbers can fit many applications but need to be clocked to fit your application.

With everything running kept up with the power drawl and Works great. I use it on A jeep project Of mine.

After installing EFI with HEI ignition and an electric fan on my 65 Mustang I soon realized that my tired old oem alternator with external regulator wasn't getting the job done. I simply removed my old alternator, re-clocked the new alternator to have better access to the connector then installed the new one and connected it directly to the battery with a #4 cable. I was able to reuse my existing fan belt by using my original pulley which was slightly larger. Very happy with my purchase.

I had issues with my stock alternator. Was pulling about 8 volts on my 66 Mustang 289. I ordered this Alternator from Tuff Stuff and solved all my issues. Pulling 14.5 volts with all the loads of Stereo,amp,Woofer and led lights. I had to reach out to Tuff Stuff for info on re clocking it due to the installation. With in hours Oliver from Tuff Stuff emailed it over. Great product.
