Divine
Ah, behold the marvel of modern canine engineering! The PETGEEK treat dispenser is, quite frankly, the butler I never knew I needed—for my miniature Harlequin pincher, Nugget, that is. Now, Nugget, a creature with the energy of a caffeinated squirrel and the attitude of a retired Shakespearean actor, refuses to wind down even after a full day at the office. Enter this brilliant blue contraption, which I have affectionately dubbed The Snack Cannon. With the remote button discreetly relocated from room to room, I have transformed my flat into a full-blown episode of Downton Abbey: The Cardio Edition. Nugget dashes between button and bowl, huffing, puffing, and giving me his best “how dare you move the royal snack button” glare, followed by a dramatic growl and a tail flick worthy of a West End exit. Not only does it physically exhaust the little tyrant, but it also provides endless entertainment for the humans in residence. And the mental stimulation? Oh, he’s plotting strategy like he’s on The Great British Bake Off, but with kibble. In summary: it’s sturdy, clever, and endlessly amusing. Nugget approves. I approve. The neighbours may not approve of the barking encore performance, but what do they know of high culture? Highly recommended for energetic dogs and their exhausted, slightly mischievous human companions.

Great way to entertain a puppy on cold and rainy days!
This is an amazing solution for the cold and rainy days! Our puppy is about 4 months old and after a bit of training to push the button, she was able to grasp the game. Pros: Keeps the puppy entertained. A full meal took about 20 minutes of running back and forth. The button accessories are helpful and the tiny scoop is nice. The dispenser is pretty durable, holding up to inquisitive pawing. We have a long, single story home and can put the button about 50 feet from the dispenser without problems. Cons: While nothing is a deal breaker for us, the lid is confusing to put on the dispenser and the little tray pops off frequently with enthusiastic eating. The button will also need to be pressed twice periodically, not when she misses, but when she pushes too hard on it. All in all, a good find!

Quit working, company replaced
Our Golden figured it out really quickly. We used it 3-4 times a week for almost 5 months and she was ready to play as soon as she saw us get it out. It was her favorite activity, until it quit working. I put new batteries in it and nothing. I plugged it in...nothing. Instructions aren't comprehensive on how to use the charge cord. Is it supposed to work with it plugged in, or is there a hidden battery that gets charged? Regardless, nothing is working now. Occasionally the red light flickers when I turn it on, but, nothing. A week ago, I would have given it 5 stars. Now it's lucky to get 2 and that's only because it worked so well, when it did work. I have revised my rating to 4 stars. The company replaced the broken item with a new one. Granted the red light doesn't do more than flicker, but the dispenser is working. I've waited several months to revise my review to make sure it lasts. It hasn't been 6 months yet, but we use it at least 4 times a week and our golden still loves it.

Great IF it works
UPDATE: since it was working as pleased I didn’t use it for a while. I was frustrated now it doesn’t even wants to shut on. Switched batteries, tried electric plug in but the machine won’t go on! I was initially excited to acquire the PetGeek as a professional dog trainer. The idea behind is great. I intended to use it for enrichment purposes for my clients' dogs as well as my own, crate training and so much more, serving as training rewards that doesn’t solely come from the handler. However, I encountered several issues with the device. Firstly, it often malfunctions, button buttons work but machine does nothing, dogs even hears the marker sound and doesn’t get reinforcement, other issues either dispensing no treats or too many at once, hard to set as when dispenser is full vs half full the same window will dispense a different amount Which discourage the dog (learner) from continuing to engage with it. Additionally, the absence of a remote control poses a challenge, especially when shaping specific behaviors. Without the option to manually trigger treat release, it's difficult to teach the dog to interact with the machine. Because you would have to manually reward for them trying to keep them in the game and that interrupts the free shaping flow. Furthermore, the inability to disable the tone can be problematic for noise-sensitive dogs or when the desired behavior hasn't been established yet. Overall, while the concept is promising, the PetGeek falls short due to these issues frustrating the learner, in my opinion.

Yesssss!!! Get it!!
My Rosie is a blue heeler/mini Aussie mix (we dna tested her). She’s spoiled so of course she had to have this! Now this is how she eats her food. I only fill it with her dog food. She loves it. She’s very active so this keeps her busy. And if it’s empty she will all but jump on the button then come look at me. Was easy to set up. I taught her by keeping on pushing the button base towards her til any part touched the button. Then yelled Yes which is our cue word when she gets something right. I had already taught her in a similar fashion to push a door bell to ask to go outside to potty. I gotta say the batteries in the base button has held up well. 2 months of using it most of the day, daily. I did take it with us one day so I plugged the dispenser into a battery pack and that worked just fine too. It plugs into usb. Easy.

Bad electrical charging unit
So disappointed with the electrical connection. They should have a better connector based on the product use. Dogs are ruff and with a connection like a small cell phone charger is not adequate. We have been through two chargers and now it’s the product port! It is still not working properly. And settled within a year of us purchasing it.

This worked a few times but has now stopped working. The button to activate the system gets very hot when on, and also the battery cover just comes off exposing loose batteries to your pet. I can’t believe this item is allowed to be sold and now the seller has gone awol with no chance of return. Avoid!!!!!
