Great smelling mask leaves skin smooth
I really like this product. I love the celery mask by this brand so I figured I wanted to try more of their products. It’s a lighter face scrub but not harsh at all. I love the smell. Leaves my skin very smooth. I can’t wait to try more of their products.

Paid full price did 𝒏𝒐𝒕 get this free....
As soon as this arrived I was excited to use it based on the Instagram video they posted. I used it at night and it felt really gentle on my skin. Woke up the next day and was shocked! My face was actually brighter and smoother. I thought it was mind over matter, so I skipped a day (it says to use less if you have sensitive skin) and used it again the following, morning. Again my face wasn't as dull as i had just noticed a week prior. I thought, there is no way this is working this fast it has to be mind over matter. I'm at day 8 with this and my skin is brighter and so soft and my old acne scars are already starting to fade. In addition, on day 3 I used the sweet chef vitc oil drops & moisturizer. Then day 4 used sweet chef superfoods moisturizer after using this product. All the other days I used various other moisturizers bc this does make your face feel tight😍.

A Refreshing and Hydrating Facial Mask
I have somewhat sensitive dry skin so a gentle exfoliating of my face in the shower is a part of my daily routine. I steer away from the facial scrubs that are too rough because I'll end up with red patches on my skin. I use a soft scrubber sponge made for faces and squirt a little of whatever facial cleaner I like onto this dampened sponge. The sponge has very little exfoliating properties so the facial cleaner needs to add some as well. This Ginger & Vitamin C cleaner is perfect for this as it only adds a little scrubbing power but the sponge makes up where it's lacking. The hydrating properties of this facial cleaner is where I think it shines above many others. It left my face feeling smooth and silky and primed for my serum/moisturizer step after drying. The scent of this is quite refreshing but I wish it was a tiny bit stronger because I like it so much. It's too early to tell whether it's helping with my 'sun spots' but I love it's other properties enough to use it even if it isn't. Vitamin C is great for your skin but I've read that it starts losing it's effectiveness as soon as it's exposed to air. This came well-sealed and I always recap it, but I'm not sure if that will be enough. Love it though!

Not actually a mask?
First, the product page does not list the full ingredient list and second product page lists maca powder while the actual product does not list on the tube. The name is a little confusing in my opinion as it says mask but the directions say massage for 60seconds then rinse. To me, that's a scrub and a mask implies it is to be left on for a period of time. However, the product is nice and I use it as a mask since the ingredients in it are more beneficial when left on the skin. I cannot see how Vit C will brighten or lighten within 60 seconds or how Turmeric might generate any noticeable effect within 1 minute. So, I use this before washing my face if my face is without makeup or after a micellar wiping if I had makeup on. I scrub and then let it sit a while before rinsing. Then I continue with my normal face wash. I always wash my face after scrubs or masks anyways so this isn't any extra step. As to the formula itself I find it pleasant. I would classify it as a gentle scrub as it is very lightly grainy/gritty. Think of the difference between a scrub with powder as opposed to granule sand or large beads, etc. This is the feel of the lighter powder scrub because it uses perlite which is derived from volcanic rock and is naturally spherical and solid, making it an ideal alternative to plastic microbeads in face scrubs. It is a super light scent bordering on virtually no smell. A nice gel texture with no oils, wax or silicone/dimethicone. After rinsing I feel no residue. Overall, I enjoy using it as it is pretty clean and doesn't break me out. I think the only way to see actual performance of the extra ingredients is by leaving it on the face to work a bit. You'll get some glow and "brightness" simply from the scrubbing removing dead skin on the top layers thanks to the perlite and rice powder. And, depending on the pH of the glycolic acid you may get a little exfoliation from that as well when used as directed. But, in my opinion to get the most benefit from the ingredients it needs to be used as a mask. I consider it a more dual purpose scrub/mask in one. YMMV Pros: --Cruelty free! --Lasts 12 months after opening --No microbeads or micro plastic! --Made with 75% post consumer recycled plastic! --No lather --No strong scent --Nice ingredients --Didn't induce breakouts for me --Gentle scrub using perlite and rice powder Other: --Confusing name --Feel like best potential is reached by leaving on longer --Their other Ginger and Vit C products are listed on EWG but this one is not --Says it has maca powder but only see maca root extract listed in ingredients, no maca powder --Description calls it a cleansing mask but directions say to use after cleansing --No list of complete ingredients on product page

Very good quality with great price
This ginger + vitamin C powershot polishing mask comes in a basic tube style packaging that includes of 3.4 oz of product. I have heard about sweet chef brand as they have really good quality products with very affordable prices and I think this polishing mask is one of their great products as it’s very effective and high-quality. It helps to even out the skin tone and helps brightening the dark spots on the skin. The texture is creamy but very soft and not heavy at all so you can easily spread it on the skin. It can be used daily as well to deeply cleanse pores but it’s suggested to start 2–3 times a week then increase frequency overtime.
