I previously had the Samsung watch 4. It was a good watch but the battery life was poor and it stopped working after just over 2 years, hence my purchase of the T-Rex Having used the T-Rex for almost 2 months these are the highlights for me. Aesthetically it's a masculine watch. The large "T-REX" on the strap is not the best but that's a minor quibble. The the screen is large and bright and there are quite a few attractive watch faces available to Purchase. The battery life is pretty impressive. Without recording my sports sessions, the charge drops around 10% per day so we're looking at around 10 days of battery life. Recording my sports sessions especially, longer sessions significantly reduces the battery life. Having done an off road mtb tour in New Forest earlier this month which entailed roughly around 4 to 6 hours of riding per day, my T-Rex was dropping around 25% to 30% of battery charge per day, but that's to be expected. I also like the Zepp app. It records your daily activities, tells you how many calories you've burnt and it even tells you every morning how well you slept the night before including the proportion of your deep sleep. I was really blown away by this feature. The results for my night sleep do correlate with my own observations and the way I feel during the day. I do have a minor criticism I'm hoping would be addressed through future updates. I would've loved to see an "auto-pause" feature. Currently if you're recording a session and you interrupt the session and forget to pause, the T-Rex just carries on recording. It would've been great to have an option to enable auto-pause after a period specified by the user. For example during my mtb ride, I occasionally stopped for a coffee break which would last up to 15 minutes. More often than not I would forget to pause the T-Rex recording the ride. This took a heavy toll on my average speed and distorted the overall results. If the Zepp software was smart enough to remove speeds of zero that lasted over a given length of time, it would've been great. This really is not a deal breaker by any stretch of the imagination but it would be a really useful feature to have. Overall I would say I'm absolutely delighted with my Amazonfit T-Rex. It has motivated me to work out harder and improve my overall fitness. It really is a lot of watch for the money. Get one now.

As someone who doesn't need all the fancy apps that the likes of an Apple or Samsung watch provide, but who values the convenience of a long-lasting life between recharges, the T-Rex is perfect for me. This is my third Amazfit (having owned two Bips previously) and it's by far the best yet from them. They've ironed out all the little bugs in their app that used to previously require a third party app to resolve (god bless you, Notify and Fitness), which was the only real issue I had with the previous watches. The T Rex 2 is a chunky beast, but because of that it feels incredibly sturdy and robust; you don't need to worry about accidentally damaging it by hitting your hand off something in passing, and the waterproofing is excellent (it shook off an Indonesian monsoon with ease). The screen is large and bright, and the notifications easy to read. I've only really used the fitness tracking for walking and some cycling, but both seem accurate as far as I can tell. As with all smartwatches, it doesn't understand the difference between me lying still at night desperate for sleep (damn you insomnia!) and actually sleeping, but it does seem to be accurate on the deep sleep aspect. As a bonus, it also has a really useful "torch" function which puts the screen to bright white for a couple of minutes and provides a surprising strong light source for shuffling around your flat in the dark without waking anyone else. I'm a big fan of this, and currently get around 20-25 days between charging, which is precisely why I love the Amazfit range.

I've tried a few smart watches over the past couple of years, and they all seem to have issues with the watch or the app at point of purchase or withing a few mo ths, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Now, the Amazfit T-Rex 2 is a different beast altogether. There are so many different things on the watch I don't know where to start! The GPS tracking is really accurate, you can can view all aspects of an exercise undertaken, avg speed, distance, time, calories burnt, etc. You can even view your route on a satellite Map, I have found the GPS to be really accurate so far. There are quite a few watch faces available for free and some that you can pay for, but there is plenty of choice without spending your hard earned cash! There are also quite a number of apps available, again free and chargeable. The app and the watch compliment each other perfectly. I am still getting used to both and learning about the different options 4 days after buying the watch. For other smart watches I have bought, it takes an hour or 2 to learn to navigate around the watch and app, which gives a bit of an idea in the difference in functionality. After 4 days of heavy use and downloading apps, the battery is sitting at 85%! The watch is comfortable to wear and the screen is very clear, even in bright sunlight. I cannot praise this watch high enough and cannot tell you about all the features included. My advice? If you are looking for a decent smart watch with lots of features, with even more apps to choose from, then you won't go far wrong with the T-Rex2. Update on battery life after owning the watch for 2 months, the battery has had 24 days of use, and us still sitting at 30%!

I like the watch and the watch faces. Loving the battery life! Disappointed that the sat nav is far too complicated especially when you have an iPhone. For a £200 price tag or needs to deliver what it boasts but it doesn’t.

Gli manca solo l'always on. Ottimo prodotto, molto robusto il display è luminosissimo si vede anche con il sole. Il sensore per illuminarlo quando si rotea il polso non sbaglia un colpo. Si connette sempre non ho mai avuto problemi, la batteria dura più di una settimana usandolo anche di notte con tutti i sensori accesi. Sono rimasto veramente sorpreso perché alla fine costa poco. Speriamo duri perché il mio t-rex mi ha abbandonato dopo 23 mesi. Molto comodo, fatto bene anche il cinturino con i due fermi, l'ultimo ha una linguetta per bloccarlo e non farlo sfilare. Non è elegantissimo ma è uno smartwatch sportivo. L'applicazione Zepp non sbaglia mai è fatta benissimo, purtroppo avrei preferito più quadranti...

Na 1 jaar doet stappenteller het niet meer en dus ook slaap monitoring, scherm automatisch aan, etc. Werken niet. Nutteloos dus. Garantie na 1 jaar is blijkbaar verlopen en werkt toch alleen als je direct van Amazfit koopt.

Great product with study design, lots of options, almost same as watch ultra but with reasonable price, loving it day by day.... Great screen, design, light weight, sporting options..... Great tool to keep Ur health tracking 😍
