Worked on my city mattress L&P bed
I have a king Leggett & Platt base, branded & sold as a city mattress base; I got it within the past year. This item worked perfect to attach the two sides together. I don't know what other models/manufacture years people were complaining about but this worked perfect for me. It comes with the rings (washer-like) for the outside legs, and the brackets for the inside legs. It's made of soft plastic and I was worried it might break but I got it on without much hassle and it's been great, never snapped like I was afraid of.

Does The Job
Purchased these to replace two (2) older ones than had broken. They were adjustable and fit on the bed legs perfectly. Just like (and maybe they are), "original" equipment. Very satisfied.

Washers Too Small
Looked easy enough to install but as someone else said, the washers are too small. I will keep my eyes open for some type of washer substitute. The vendor was very good about it and checked for another option but was unsuccessful. The vendor did provide a full refund promptly.

plastic, worked perfect on my l&p prodigy 2.0 nonwallhugger split king
1 star off because they're just plastic - metal would be nice. triangulation would be even better...that said: if your mattress and bases are already installed, make sure you can slide them around before starting this. toss some felt or hard sliders (depending on your floor) under your 8 legs first. if your bases were installed like ours (by a dealer), they're slid to where they are touching. these brackets are designed to provide a gap, and you have to move the bases around a bit to install and adjust the gap.on a split king, you use the outer sets of holes - for cal king or queen, you use the inner sets. slide the bases apart enough to slip the brackets over the legs, then slide the bases back together to take up the gap. if you want them wider for your mattress, slide them out instead of in.

Incompatible with new beds
This bracket assembly likely worked well with the old bed legs but will not work with the new ones, given the changed design. A simple solution for a Split King is to craft two pieces of 1/2 plywood (14" x 12"), each with two 2.5" holes spaced 12" apart.
