Worked perfectly and a huge savings over dealer keys!
I was able to program the keyless entry as well as the transponder/proximity chip to work with the ignition. It should be noted that you must program each key twice… once to lock and unlock the doors and a second programming step so that the vehicle’s immobilization/security system allows the key to start the vehicle.Once the keys were programmed, I visited the local Toyota dealer and had them cut the keys based on the VIN because the only old key I had was badly eroded and I wanted nice, crisp teeth on my new keys. I’m using one key every day and the second is a spare. Perfect!

I decided to try these which weren't the cheapest but seemed like the best deal for good quality
I got quotes of $180-250 each for dealer provided keys. I decided to try these which weren't the cheapest but seemed like the best deal for good quality. I had them cut from my key in Mexico and had a locksmith there program to my car. No problem at all with the first or master key but there were some problems programming the remote with the second. I had to go back a second time but in the end both keys worked fine. So for $45 and the cost to the locksmith of about $35 I got two keys! Thank you.

Construction quality is not great. The two halves of the shell of the ...
Pros: They work, and significantly less expensive than OEM replacements.Cons: Transmitter range is absolutely awful - I need to be within about 15 feet (as opposed to about 100 feet for the OEM) and often have to try several times to lock/unlock the car. Construction quality is not great. The two halves of the shell of the keys separate when turning the key to start the car.The seller is responsive, but has incorrect information about programming these keys. For a 2002 Land Cruiser, programming the key requires separate procedures for the door programming and for the ecu transponder programming. Both can be performed by following steps found on the internet. A card with a link for door programming instructions is helpfully included with the keys, but the seller states that the transponder programming requires a locksmith or dealer, which, again, is incorrect.

If you just want keys made they are fine, but remotes no
Keys can be cut fine but remote control didn't work. I took them to my regular Master Locksmith and he spent 2+ hours trying on two separate days. He said the chips inside were not correct and the batteries were dead (how long sitting around on the shelf?). After changing chips he still couldn't get software to work despite having sophisticated equipment to help and calling different remote vendors. If you just want keys made they are fine, but remotes no. I did try the various things listed on the remotesremotes.com website as well.

No range, need to be 6” away to work
Easy enough to program but I literally have to be 6 inches away or touching the vehicle to make work. Worthless

Very short range
These look fine and feel fine and I was able to program them fine but they will only work if you hold the remote halfway across the windshield, closer to the head unit?, I replaced the battery but it did not make a difference. I guess it is just a weak transmitter. We purchased two keys and they are both this way. Frustrating but it does work, you just look like a dork in the parking lot.
