Upgrades for my bachelor pad
I purchased a rug pad in hopes to make a few upgrades to my condo. I take a lot of pride in hosting in my place and try to keep it as presentable as possible. I am currently in the dating scene, and the last thing I need to worry about is how presentable my floors and rugs are. When I am hosting, my houseguests continue to slide on my entry way and scratch my hardwood floors. I take a lot of pride as a new homeowner and would like to see myself here for a long period of time. This rug pad has helped to grip my rug in place. This simple investment has felt like a step in the right direction to invest in my place for the long term…I definitely recommend a purchase like this for anyone looking to find inexpensive options and still make substantial contributions to their home.

Helps but still wiggles a bit on carpet
I have been needing a rug mat for awhile. My rug slides, bunches, scrunches, and sometimes it seems like it is out for blood the way it violently moves when I touch it. I have been using weights to hold it down but that just makes it angrier. A quick search showed me that not many rug mats are made for carpets. However, I found this Slip-Stop rug mat for carpets at an okay price ($22) and I figured I would try it. I just got it today and tested it, so I will rate various facets of this product… Shipping: 5⭐️ Fast. Ordered on Sunday. Shipped on Monday. Received on Wednesday. Packaging: 3.5⭐️ It did not come in plastic wrap which made me think it is not new. Or maybe they just cut it to size and put it in a package quickly? I do not know but I found that odd. The packaging and product were not damaged though. Size: 4.5⭐️ My rug is about 35.8in x 58in so I knew I would need a 3ft(36in) by 5ft(60in) and I would trim it. I am knocking off half a star because the cut is slightly uneven like someone cut it with a dull scissor whilst blindfolded 😅. Not a huge deal though since I needed to trim it anyway. And it is easy to cut! I was sliding my regular office scissors through it like paper! Thinness: 5⭐️ If you want this to drown out sound or for cushion, get something else. It is very thin so it does not stick up much at all or add to the height of the rug, but that is what I wanted. My rug is in front of my bed right now but I will likely move it in front of or partially in my closet and the closet door will definitely slide over it no problem. Now for what you have all been waiting for… Does it work?: 4⭐️ This rug mat does work on carpet. It just does not work perfectly. The description says it prevents bunching and sliding but the rug and mat can still slide a bit and bunch a bit. But compared to without it? It is quite a noticeable difference. Check my video to see how my rug was before and after putting this Slip-Stop mat underneath it. Overall: 4⭐️ Before I could just step on the rug and it would bunch up like a snake recoiling and I would almost trip over it. Now it does not do that. It is not perfect but it is far better than nothing, especially for only $22. I feel this mat would work waaaay better on hardwood but so far it helps me. There is a 5x7ft rug I want and I would consider buying a 5x7 rug mat from Slip-Stop if needed. I will update in a week or two how this 3x5 one holds up!

Worked great for my rug.

Great for cement floor
Rug does not budge, was almost dangerous before we put the pad under it. We were very happy with the feel of the rug after the pad was under it. Made the rug feel cushy. Made in the US by a small company, which is why I chose it, but I think the quality is probably much better than the ones made outside of the US. A little bit more money, but worth it.

This slip stop stay in place
I like that my rug adheres pretty well to the slip stop. It does slide just a bit so every week I adjust it a little. It is soft and the rug is very comfortable. I use a wheelchair and it’s important that the rug stay in place. I use my rug in the kitchen.

Didn’t work for me
I purchased 2 of these to secure throw rugs on carpet. They still slip about and I still have to straiten them. They didn’t work for me.

Good amount of padding but does move on my wood floor
I like the quality and thickness of this rug pad. It does move on my wood floor. I cleaned the floor very well under it to be sure it had no dust or dirt that would make it not adhere to the floor before placing it. however I find that it still move and has to be adjusted often. I sue it at the door that goes to my garage and it's a high traffic area because of that. In a lower traffic area it might do better.

They work well
Bought 2 of these because I live with a cat that has decided to use my hall rugs as cat slides (he gets a running start then jumps on the rugs and the slide down the hall into one of the bedrooms) with these the rugs don't move and I've stoped stumbling over wadded up rugs in the dark.
