I’m giving it 4 because the quality is decent for the price and it does hold mags securely inside the pouch. I imagine it works decent on a belt but I’m not sold on it on a plate carrier/vest. It seems loose and in my opinion doesn’t attach securely. I attached and reattached 4 times and each time was able to shake it loose just by shaking the vest up and down lightly mimicking a slight jog. The bottom of the strap just tucks back up into itself but does not Velcro or snap. Hope this helps.

As a female, I’ve been struggling to find comfortable, concealable, quality equipment that doesn’t break the bank. All I can say is this magazine holster is amazing. This is the second one I have bought. I keep one for my belt and have the other on my vest and it’s incredible for both. I originally bought this for my vest and for the price I was not expecting to love this holster so much. I use the Blackhawk Speed-clips for everything on my vest and I am honestly shocked but I didn’t have to use the clips for this. The set up on these does not seem like it would work well but it works incredibly well. As you can see in my video - I put the end of the strap between the bottom of the holster part and the molle attachment fabric sheet and it works way better. I then used a needle nose pliers to slide it up as far as I could and it works great. It sits just about as snug as my gear fastened with the speed-clips. I ended up buying on for my belt as well. When attaching this to my vest, I realized it has a slot for wearing on a belt. As a female, this is by far the most comfortable magazine holster I have found. As you can see in the video, it is made of a durable fabric-like material so it will move with you and not dig into your hip bone. I use the everyday carry Nex belt and it fits great. This holster has enough retention that your magazines won’t fall out, but you don't struggle to retrieve them either. Note: Used with Glock 17 - 17 round magazines. Not a complaint - only thing I would suggest to make this even better would be to have the top where the magazine is inserted reinforced with stronger material. That way it holds its shape and is easier to reinsert a magazine if not looking directly at the holster when doing so.

Great ESSTAC kywi knockoff. Price is good, quality is good. Only con is that it uses light denier Cordura. Likely fine for this application since it has the kydex inserts but something to note. Attachment points are solid and secure. Magazine retention is good.

I gave it 3 stars because the quality looks decent. My biggest issue, which is a big issue is that the kydex retaining inserts loss tension almost immediately after I put my glock 17 mags in there. It held some retention but not enough that I'm comfortable using on my duty belt. I can't return because I've already modified it by cutting off those cheap molle straps. Fortunately, I have a bunch of ranger bands which I was able to use to create more retention when the magazine is inserted.. my fault for wanting to save $15 by not getting the actual esstac kywi mag pouches..
