Ella and the Worry Doll Hardcover – October 1, 2013

We purchased this book along with a bag of Guatemalan worry dolls. It’s been great for right before bed for my little worrier. I’d love this books even more if it pictured the small worry dolls that are behind the “worry doll” tradition. But it’s a very cute book and serves the purpose well enough.

Ella and the Worry Doll is a wonderful story for everyone. It is about a little girl who worries and how her grandmother teaches her to deal with her worries; through the use of a doll that she can talk with. I loved the book because the simple story can help little ones and yet, it's message is not lost on any age. The message that not keeping things bottled up inside and instead talk about them with someone is a lesson I think we all need to be reminded of now and then. How wonderful to teach children this lesson.I can't wait for the Worry Doll to come out in January! I plan to give the book as a gift at Christmas this year and follow up next year with the doll.

Cute book.

I love this book. It explains the use of worry dolls in a way that children can understand. My girls really enjoy the book.

Perfect for granddaughter

My daughter received this book for her 8th birthday. The book is sweet and is very relatable for young children. My daughter loved the worry doll that accompanied the book, named him Charlie, and said she wanted to give one to her cousins.
