SONGMICS seems to have the corner on kitchen waste bins so it's not surprising that we chose one of theirs. We needed a bin with two sections that is functional and big enough to take quantities that didn't mean we were trotting to the wheelie bin every day or so because the bags were full. We're pleased with this. For a while I was tempted to blue some extra money on a sensor-operated one where you wave your hand and magically the lid opens, but to be honest the cost wasn't worth it. Also I reckon that if you've got both hands full, waving at the genie was going to be difficult. A foot pedal is reliable, simple and cheap, Recommended.

I got this bin after our last one broke on the pedals. Overall, I've had this bin for about a month now so thought I'd give you my likes and dislikes so far. I like: The one big, soft closed lid - my last bin had two separate lids and if you are using one side for waste and one for recycling, you could forget which is which. This one I can see as soon as I open the one lid and the soft close means no slamming down. The lid open catch - This helps when you are emptying the bins so you don't have to keep your foot on the pedal. The large foot pedal - This is easy to step on and easier to keep clean rather than two smaller pedals. I'm also hoping it won't break as easily as the last one. Comes with bin bags - A bonus is it comes with 15 bin bags that are just the right fit to set you off. I doubt I'll be bothered buying the same ones again though as I like to bargain-hunt for the best price on things. Looks stylish - I got this in black and think it looks really nice in my kitchen. It's also easy to keep clean. What I don't like: THE HANDLES!!!! - What a stupid design these are. So when you put your bin bag in the bins, the handles sit underneath. When you come to pull out your full bins that stink, you just want the process to be quick and simple but instead you can't get to the handles to pull out the bin, plus when you resort to pulling the bin bag out with your hands, the handle sometimes gets caught on the bag and starts to tear it causing dirty trash to spill everywhere! In the end, we removed them and don't bother with them at all. Pointless addition unless we are using them incorrectly and just a little 'rubbish' lol. So all in all, apart from the handles, this is a decent bin. I'd give it 4/5.

A bin that does actually delivers. It has two compartments, I use one for recycling and the other one with bin bags for general trash. The pedal works fine to open and close. High quality stainless material on the outside. Easy to clean. Basically the bin we were all dreaming of. Bit pricey but you get what you paid for. I think it's a great investment so would definitely recommend to anyone who would like to upgrade their bin game. By the way you can use your own bin liners, any will do. Would buy again

Sleek design, well made and effective. So easy to use and fits into the space

Bin looks really smart in my new kitchen. Holds a lot of rubbish in separate containers which are easy to remove to empty. Only issue is the lid does not always close completely but leaves a very narrow gap. However a light touch on the top helps it down

This bin looks and feels quality. The foot pedal to open works well and design is good. Fairly large as it has 2 bins, but is what we needed for all the recycling most of us need to do for council bin collection services. Internal bins have lift out handles and clean easily if required. Can't comment on smells as not used for waste and only for pastics, cans and cardboard/paper. Good quality and value for money.

Excellent. After 3 months use I will highly recommend - seamless motion sensor opening / closing function. Only downside the custom made trash bags - feels like a subscription.

The bin has a step pedal that opens the lid of the bin, and it has soft closing and shuts the lid silently. I love how it looks in my kitchen. It is made well, and i'm very happy with my purchase.
