Not quite fine carpentry but for $30 this thing is very nicely built, thoughtfully designed, and finished well. Looks nice and should hold up for a long while. I'm using mine to store/carry my whittling and carving tools as well as 1 inch stock basswood blocks and WIP projects in the bottom and it's perfect for that. However, I like it so much I'm going to get another one for my watercolor paints and brushes.
