I recently purchased the SanDisk Extreme Pro SD UHS-I 256GB Card for my DSLR camera, and it has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and reliability. As someone who frequently shoots 4K videos, I needed a memory card that could keep up with the high demands of recording high-resolution footage. In this review, I'll share my experience with this card and compare it to other brands in the market. Pros: Unparalleled Performance: The SanDisk Extreme Pro SD card delivers blazing-fast read and write speeds, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted 4K video recording. It boasts transfer speeds of up to 170MB/s, allowing for quick file transfers and efficient workflow. Ample Storage Capacity: With a generous capacity of 256GB, this card offers ample space for storing hours of 4K footage. It provides plenty of room to capture extended video shoots, eliminating the need to frequently swap memory cards or worry about running out of storage space. Reliability and Durability: SanDisk is renowned for its reliability, and the Extreme Pro SD card lives up to the brand's reputation. It is built to withstand harsh shooting conditions, including temperature extremes and exposure to water and X-rays. The card is also shockproof, ensuring the safety of your valuable footage even in rugged environments. Compatibility: The SanDisk Extreme Pro SD card is compatible with a wide range of DSLR and mirrorless cameras, making it a versatile choice for photographers and videographers. It supports UHS-I technology, which is widely adopted across various camera brands, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Cons: Price: The SanDisk Extreme Pro SD card falls on the higher end of the price spectrum compared to other brands in the market. However, considering its exceptional performance, reliability, and storage capacity, the investment is justified for professional photographers and videographers who prioritize quality and dependability. Comparison with other brands: When comparing the SanDisk Extreme Pro SD card with other brands in the market, it stands out as a top performer. Its read and write speeds surpass many competing cards, enabling smoother 4K video recording. While there are other reliable options available, SanDisk's track record and reputation make it a trusted choice among professionals. I've been using this SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB card as my primary card in my mirrorless camera for over 8 months now, and it has been flawless. The transfer speeds are consistently fast, which is a huge time-saver when offloading 4K video files to my computer. It has never corrupted an image or failed to keep up during continuous burst shooting. For any serious photographer or videographer, this card’s reliability and performance are worth every penny.

Ive been using SanDisk SD cards for a while now for photography, video and other stuff. With flash memory prices dropping lately, this 64GB Extreme PRO is honestly the best value you can get right now, especially with 200 MB/s speeds. I'll be the first to admit I used to cheap out on SD cards thinking they were all the same. They all eventually failed on me. Since switching to SanDisk though, I haven't had one fail yet. The main reason I need new ones is because I keep misplacing them, so definitely get yourself a SD card holder if you're like me. One thing I noticed straight away is the build quality. This card actually feels premium and solid in your hand, unlike some cheaper ones I've owned in the past that feel light and cheap like they'd snap in half. You can tell the difference immediately. The 200 MB/s transfers have made moving large photo and video files quick and easy, and it has handled 4K recording without any issues. Overall really happy with this purchase and most definitely will keep buying again as needed.
