Galcon 61562 DC-6S 6-Station Irrigation and Propagation Seconds Operation Controller

I only gave a 4 for ease of installation because it did not come with a manual. Although I am not really a computer person, I was able to find the manual online and downloaded it and printed it. I needed a battery operated timer because the control wires to a remote set of sprinkler valves were somehow cut. The valves are located well over a hundred feet from the original control box and I could not find the break. The controller was easy to install and worked with Orbit latching solenoids. We are on a well and we cannot operate more than one sprinkler head at a time. The controller requires you to set a start time for each solenoid, unlike a standard 110 volt controller which will just automatically go to the next solenoid when the current solenoid has finished its programed run time

Had this for approx one year and 1 week. Only used it for about 5 months. Now it does not work. When I put in battery's it says they are low. No more functioning. My valves all work perfectly as I installed a different timer and now everything is working fine again. I am quite disappointed. Galcon is supposed to be a world leader in irrigation equipment. If, like my small family farm, you rely on this timer for your production and you need something that is reliable perhaps these timers are not the best option for you. I will try to contact them to see if there is anything they can do about it.

Great product. Used it because I lost power somehow through the underground sprinkler wiring to a remote set of valve's. Worked fine. Just be sure to change out the AC valve solenoids to DC.

Would have been nice if I knew in advance that I also need compatible low voltage solenoids. I guess I shouldn't have read over the comments so fast.

Love it. Setup for a vegtable garden with 4 zones and a drip system. Just plant and wait. Nice that you don't need power.
