Model: GP592 Saphire Ice.UPDATE: I am now week 4 into treatments and I can definitely see hair reduction on my legs, underarms and bikini areas. Normally after shaving bikini area, I can feel stubble regrowth- now, the hair regrowth is much finer and softer. Almost no hair regrowth on my legs or underarms. Very pleased with this. A bit time consuming and you have to be persistent in your routine (don't skip a week)- but dramatic noticeable results.ORIG: I researched a ton before trying IPL. I researched a ton of models. My biggest concern was burns. This IPL differs a bit from cheaper units in that it is designed for unlimited Flashes vs 100,000 - 400,000 flashes (such as Braun) and it's extemely powerful. Also, there is an automatic flash feature (in addition to manual), that automatically triggers the flash the moment the glass Is touched to compatible treatment area. And the MAIN distinguishing feature is the ICE technology which actually cools the skin to mitigate burns, often experienced in cheaper devices. I read all instructions thoroughly and performed my tolerance test. I settled on level 4 (5 being Max). I have green eyes and medium light skin (still tanned from summer) with med brown hair. At level 4 I felt no warmth or any stinging or burning sensation whatsoever. The cooling glass was cold up against my skin and remained cool during the Flashes. I must say as soon as the flash finished, I lifted the lamp head to ensure there would be no residual warmth. I did both of my entire legs, bikini area, underarms and chin. There was no side effects or feeling of sunburn or any red marks. I highly recommend shaving the day prior to your very *first* use- this is because shaving always irritates my skin- so I decided to wait a day, so I could be sure to distinguish any side effects from the IPL vs. mere razor burn. The Automatic Flash works well and will only flash once the glass touches skin and senses compatible treatment area. I liked both modes actually, as each has different advantages. I have read dozens of reviews of other devices where reviewers described a "snapping" sensation like a rubber band, and that greatly concerned me because I don't want any discomfort. I was happy this device was nothing like that and I could feel a brief warmth, it definitely was not discomforting at all- and I was relieved. Some clarifications- the instructions say this is not to be used near mucosa (ie. Areas where mucus is present like nose, mouth). Also not suitable for private parts- although bikini area is fine- just don't plan on a full brazilian. And lastly, only use on clean dry skin - no moisterizers. The intense light coupled with moisture can have an effect of hot steam- and that will created a sting or burn sensation. I am most pleased the Cooling feature of thus device works well and easy to use.NOTE: According to manufacturers manual, hair growth reduction will not be fully visible until the 6th week of treatment, so while I can attest that the device functions well and all parts operating, and that the claims of the cooling technology operates as claimed, I cannot yet fully attest to the full claim of the hair reduction. As with all my test products that require long-term testing, I edit my reviews with updates as new results are recorded. I am really excited to use this IPL and so relieved that it seems so easy and painless to use!

Used about 4 times and doesn’t turn on , too late to return . Save your money

After about 7 sessions I'm already seeing little to no growth! Little to pain when using, and so easy to use!

I have been using this for a few weeks and have not seen an effect, but I know it may be early, so I'll update in a bit longer as well.I'm not totally sure how this can be unlimited as the bulbs should eventually burn out, but it is supposedly unlimited use.In terms of the cooling, it works reasonably well. After about 10 flashes, it does feel warm on the skin. It doesn't burn or anything though.It does some automated flashes, but I found this to be faulty, as it would sometimes go off in the air, not on skin, and that is quite bright and potentially troublesome.I am the target demographic for these with fair skin and very dark brown hair. After several weeks of use, I'm still needing to shave every other day. I haven't noticed any slowing of hair growth yet. I'll keep going, but I'm concerned that it's not doing much yet. It's easy enough to use though. I use the highest setting (does not hurt) and go over the area 3-4 times each use.Overall, I think this is a reasonable device which does not hurt, but I'm not finding it very effective either.

I have the right hair color and I used it at least 12 times as indicated and there is absolutely no difference in the hair growth. This is a waste or time.

The media could not be loaded. This is my first IPL device and I was not sure what to expect. I was a bit scared this would burn me or cause skin irritation however so far so good. I have stuck to the lower power settings (there are 5 total) as I do have pretty light skin that is prone to burning but so far the device has worked great and I've had no adverse reactions.I did get a bit confused at first because I though it was charging when I plugged it in. It 'blinks' when you have it plugged in which I think for most of us we'd feel like that means 'charging' however this just means its in standby mode waiting to be powered on. The device does have to be plugged in to work however from there its pretty easy to operate/understand. My favorite aspect is the auto fire mode, once enabled you just touch the device to your skin and it will fire on its own - great for if you want to focus on your skin and placement more than the device itself.The box the IPL comes in is lovely though I'm not sure why this is 'limited edition'. It is packaged very nicely and there is an instruction booklet that is like 13 pages long. The IPL is a bit large and chunky however it is not overly heavy and I did not find it a chore to hold while doing treatments. The power cord is about 7.5 feet long and fits in very snug so no chance of it falling out on its own during treatment and you have good range from an outlet. Downsides: The booklet says this will not work on darker skin tones unfortunately. Time is needed to see how effective this will be at hair removal. So far I do recommend.
