This replaced a detector requiring battery replacement which we did annually during the course of the units life-span. The 10-year sealed battery in this replacement unit provides increased peace of mind - though it remains important to regularly test. FireAngel seems to be a good and reliable brand which we have bought for many years.

Purchased for the caravan. There are cheaper ones out there but I went for this as it meant I could use the fitment base from my old one as its the same make and didn't have to make more holes in the caravan. It also has a 10 year sealed battery life so I don't have to remember to keep extra batteries in the caravan or get the annoying "beep" when the batteries need changing every few months! Replaced it from our last one which worked great. Good battery life

Does exactly what it says. Bought Fire Angel as advised by our chimney sweep. We wanted one we didnt have to worry about batteries wearing out, so went with the 10 year battery. We were advised to position at head height in the room so have it just above the door architrave. Easy to install, it comes with wall plugs and screws and just sits onto the screws. Alternatively you could attach with a sticky pad (not included) It is very sturdy, doesn't feel cheap and knowing the brand is good, we now feel safer using our multi fuel burner with it in place. Now we need another one near our gas boiler which is inside a wardrobe in the main bedroom
