Lorex 8-Channel 2TB Fusion CCTV IP Security Camera System with Four 4K Ultra HD Smart Deterrence Bullet Cameras

I was a little hesitant on the install of this home CCTV system as there are so many cameras/wires etc but if you take your time and have a little experience with smart cameras it isn’t too difficult, that being said it’s still rather time consuming due to setting up each individual camera (more so the positioning/drilling etc as the units themselves are basically plug & play).Some points to note -- There is an app which you can view each camera live, it can lag a little if switching quickly between cameras but I like that this is a possibility as a much older set up I had in a previous home was only viewable via the actual monitor within the home. This is fantastic for keeping an eye on things even when away from your home.- You receive notifications if the cameras detect motion around your home, I’ve found this a good feature for the most part however I do wish there was a way to add facial recognition as it will send notifications when leaving/coming home which can be a tad bothersome. But overall it’s a must have feature for me.- The spotlights are again another brilliant feature for me personally, I’ve found they can be as much a deterrent as the actual cameras themselves and overall I think they’re pretty bright, it definitely makes night time viewing much easier as we live in a rural home with no street lights.- Number plates can be read easily during daylight hours, at night we struggle (in our area!) unless the spotlights are activated.- The 2TB memory I’ve found is a great upgrade and allows for footage to be kept longer, the bigger the better imo!- Camera build quality is very very good, they’re sleek, compact and fairly simple but function fantastically.- Image quality is better than I anticipated even in lower light conditions, again the spotlight’s definitely help this. It’s a clear and stable image with no whitewashing.Overall I’m happy with the set up, my old system cost over £1k and felt very outdated compared to this. I’m no tech king but for the quality and security of this system I think it’s well worth the cost as it seems a few less people sniff around if they see cameras. The app could do with some work but again on the whole I think it offers reasonable value for money for a compete system. I paired with a stand-alone monitor and it works a treat.

Amazing security system with a lot of options to help keep your property safe and secure.This is the first camera system that I’ve tried, and got to say I am very impressed. First off the cameras are lightweight, good quality and feel sturdy. The NVR system is not too big and looks nice and sleek and does not look like a security camera system.I did not install this myself, I left that to a more experienced friend, who said that it was nice and easy compared with other systems that he has set up, it took him around an hour to install the 4 cameras. I set up the NVR which was a simple process, just follow the instructions and it's a breeze, you really don’t have to be that tech savvy to do it. It's easy to navigate and once you’ve read the instructions you can then start to customise it to record what & when.It has plenty of features such as, 2 way talk back, full colour night vision, 4K resolution, a few different detection options (face, vehicle or person) all of which work well and also 2 different types of smart deterrence (a light and 3 different types of siren to warn people off) I’ve been using it now for about 2 weeks and have not had one false detection, which is very impressive. Got to say the picture quality on this is just amazing, it's so crisp and clear, even at night, and you can easily pick out people's faces from a distance.You can also use it via the Lorex mobile app, which again is easy to navigate and simple to use (the NVR does have to be connected to the internet at all times if you want to use the app to view cameras). There are also no monthly fees with this system which is another plus.I would highly recommend this system to anyone who is concerned about the security around your property. It's a feature heavy, good quality and easy to use system at a pretty good price for what you get.
