Elegent Upholstery 7" Replacement Recliner Sofa Chair Mechanism Tension Spring - Long Neck Hook Spring:I own an old recliner. The broken foot rest spring was very easy to replace. Only took a few minutes, by opening the footrest; hooking one end of the new spring to the chair, then pulling the other end about a half inch with a screw driver, hooking the other end to the footrest.

Fixed the chair good as new. Thought I was going to have to throw it away

Allowed me to repair my reclining foot rests on my couch. Not bad for DIY.

I purchased a Leather Couch with 2 Reclining sections on each end. The spring broke so I tried looking for Model but didn't find it. Took the length and width & looked it up on Amazon. They had an exact match. Bought it. At $7 how can you go wrong.

Spring was not quite long enough. added a s hook to make it work. Had to lay couch on its back to install spring, but recliner part worked again after installing spring. Wife said your going to make it work aren't you. I said necessary is the mother of invention. (it was my side that was broken)
