Solid plate that stays in place.
My daughter is pitching for her high school softball team, and it was time to make sure she was given a solid plate to work off of while pitching. This is very similar to what the fields are using around town and what she would expect the rubber to feel like. This pitching rubber was very heavy. The rubber is super thick and is going to last a long time. If you wear out one edge you can simply dig it up and rotate it to a new edge.I really would not waste the effort of installing the spike in style plates. From my experience they warp, come loose, or break loose from the spike. The bury in the dirt style plate stay in the ground much better. They will provide you with much more service over time and less hassle.I did not receive any discounts, compensation,or free products for writing this review. No surprises here
A four-way rubber is pretty straightforward, a rectangular piece of plastic and this fits the bill nicely. Do not bother with a pitchers plate that is not a four-way.
