DEWALT DC9320BP 7.2-to-18-Volt NiCd/NiMH/Li-Ion 1-Hour Dual Port Charger and XRP 18-Volt Battery Combo Pack

Well built and convenient to charge 2x 18v packs at once using only 1 outlet. Most of my packs are the older XRP series, but I have a few of the new compact Li-Ion packs and this will charge both types without issues. I was very satisfied with the value of this purchase and it has been performing well for a couple months so far. If it goes like the rest of my dewalt gear it'll last a long time. I haven't been able to kill a dewalt charger or tool yet, and I picked up my first set of 5 (18v) dewalt tools back in 2001. I've had a few packs that finally gave up after a number of years, but their lifespan was very reasonable. Batteries don't last forever.Pros: - Well built. - Great price. - Nice that it only takes 1 outlet to charge 2 batteries (very handy at a job site where other tools are competing for limited outlets.)Cons: - It's large (takes up more room in the toolbox/truck than a single charger, but not really any more than 2 single chargers would).I would recommend this item to anyone who needs an additional or replacement charger for the compatible dewalt batteries... and an extra XRP battery for good measure.

Great Value, if you can use another battery, and a dual charger, the bundle is a great value. I didn't NEED either, but wanted both, so the bundle price made it worth it.Charger has worked great. I only have Ni-Cad batteries, but the option to use Li-ions was a nice bonus in case I splurge on one. The automatic battery maintenance function is a cool feature I'm pretty sure my basic charger didn't have. I haven't noticed anything difference in my battery performance since switching to this charger, but that is probably a good thing! This thing charges really fast. I have 3 of the big batteries, but I never need the third, even using it all day.If you do enough work that you need to own more than 2 batteries, AND you are still on board with the old 18v format, then this purchase is a no brainer in my opinion.

This is a battery charger, what is there really to say about it? It charges batteries. It is nice being able to charge two at a time. It is also nice that it charges all dewalt voltages as well as ni-cad, ni-mh, and lithium ion. I can say it charges ni-cad and ni-mh, and probably pretty close to that one hour mark like it states. I have not made the jump to lithium ion tools so I do not know if or how well it charges them. It comes with a battery which is nice since you can never have too many of them, especially since they eventually wear out. It usually just sits on my shelf but has occasionally been put into my toolbox to take to a job site, which has caused no problems for it. Overall this is a good product that I am glad I purchased.

I would normally give this charger a five star rating except that the replacement battery that comes with this set is the old XRP NiCad battery, which in my opinion, is a piece of junk. If the set had the new Li Ion battery then it would be a steal. The XRP batteries are supposed to last for at least 1000 charges, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I have never had one last over a year even if you allow it to deplete charge and then recharge it. An XRP battery will not withstand staying in a charger for long period since it will get a memory charge and loose its charging capabilities and be worthless, or in my case, double worthless. The Li Ion battery is a fantastic product where the charge remains high once you charge the battery all you need to do it set it aside after charging. They are not as cantankerous as the XRP's and will last much longer.The charger: Dewalt makes great tools, but they have a problem in that the XRP charger will not charge equal voltage Li Ion batteries, and don't even try it, the Li Ion battery will not fit and even if it did the charger will not charge the Li Ion battery. So if you want to change two battery types (XRP to Li Ion) you will also need to change your charger. So here is the scene: Two types of chargers for two types of batteries. OR, you can get this charger that charges BOTH batteries AND all voltages from 7.2 to 18v batteries plus it will charge TWO at a time. This is a great option if you use portable power devices on the job since this charger will charge in ONE hour! Constantly rotating batteries is not only an efficient way of maintaining quality charges but also lengthens the lifetime of your batteries. For your information, at least for the 18v batteries, both the XRP and the Li Ion batteries are interchangeable in 18v tools.At the time of this evaluation, the cost of Li Ion batteries are much higher than the XRP battery. I'm sure the cost will come down over time, but if I were you I would pay the extra cost when replacing batteries only because the time/cost between the XRP and the Li Ion battery, the Li Ion will last longer and cost less.

I bought this because we have the Dewalt 6 piece tool set (fantastic, btw) and have several building projects at our off grid lake property. We had two batteries but it was taking forever to charge one on our generator. We found ourselves having to stop the projects and wait for the batteries to charge. Plugged this in to the generator and the batteries were charging faster than I could use them. It really took a lot of stress off of us having to strategically decide which tool to use and when to maximize battery life. The addition of the extra battery plus a purchased a Lithium ion one, made this last work trip WAY better. No issues at all.

I bought this because one of my DeWalt battery appeared to be losing it's charge (the vacuum cleaner would last about 1/2 hour, but was now lasting about 10 minutes on single charge). Looking around and doing the research it appears the older NiCad style batteries were better value than the more expensive Lithium batteries. The charger was simple, and works great (although it took more desk space than the original DeWalt charger) granted though this is a dual charger which I was able to charge two batteries and still use one. Also this charger also charges the 7.2 battery, and it's able to charge both batteries in about an hour.

This is a well-packaged and excellently priced accessory that suits alot of my current and future needs.Currently, I don't use my cordless power tools often (Drill, Recip. and Rip Saw), but when I do, I go straight out for hours on end and having charged batteries when you need them is a major challenge. Now, with this double charger and extra battery (which is an excellent bargain!), I have 3 XRP batteries that I can use while rotating through the charger.The charger replenishes the batteries in sufficient time. I didn't clock it, but the battery that I was using heavily didn't go dead before the other two batteries were charged (that's as quick as I need it to be!)In the future, I would like to switch to the Lithium batteries for my XRP set of tools. This charger will accomodate that upgrade.If you're a casual, but intense "handy-man" with a number of XRP tools, this is an valuable addition to your kit.No more standing with a dead battery in hand, watching a blinking charge light, YEAAAH!

Works great reconditioned some old batteries that would not work

Price was great. It came very quickly. Would definitely recommend this

Bought to go with my earlier purchase of 6 tool combo which came with only 2 batteries. Also use with wet dry vaccum.
