RTG Wood Repair Epoxy Putty is a super-strong, two-part, epoxy-based wood repair compound used to fix cosmetic defects and non-structural damage on windowsills, furniture, door frames, and wood trim quickly, easily, and best of allโpermanently. To restore damaged or missing wood, simply knead 1 part resin and 1 part hardener together until mixed thoroughly, then shape in place using tools or by hand. It's as easy as working with modeling clay, but dries hard, strong, and can accept screws, nails, & other metal fasteners. At 70ยฐF, RTG Wood Repair Epoxy Putty has a working time of 30 minutes, and is sandable in 6 hours. In addition to the ample working time and non-sagging formula, you'll really appreciate the no-VOC, no-odor formula that makes it ideal for indoor use. It's waterproof once it cures, so it's also great for outdoor use. If the wood in the repair area is damaged by humidity, use RTG Wood Rot Repair Epoxy (sold separately) first to harden and seal the wood. Afterward, apply Wood Repair Epoxy Putty to reshape the surface. Compare to System Three Sculpwood, PC Products PC Woody Wood Repair Epoxy Paste, and Abatron WoodEpox. All RTG products are a great value, very easy to use, and 100% made in the USA.

Easy to mix , mold, and use!
I actually have not yet used it for the project intended but....I refinish furniture and do furniture moulds. This product was an excellent medium for that!

good product for the price
Its a little hard to need together, It might B because I have arthritis in them. The brown was kind of crumbly. but its cheaper than the stuff from Washington State. Its spreads like dried frosting, so its not real smooth, hopefully I'm mixing it right. My plan is to fill most of it with this RTG. then finish it out with the expensive stuff. I have a hell of a Fd up project on my hands, I'm disabled and don't feel good to boot, and wished this had never happened. All I can say is order double what you think U R going to need. This seams to be a real good product, and the guys from up north said as long as its an epoxy putty its just as good as their stuff, which I really appreciated their honesty since their stuff is extremely expensive and they charge for shipping. This just my opinion so please don't come down on me like a ton of bricks, I have already had a reckless driver hit me head on, I don't need any more pain. Thanks Carl

Good product but seemed a bit too Cake like when merging to the two together.
So I purchased this product in conjunction with another product here on amazon. This one required a bit more work to work with it. When merging the two together 1:1. The product was very cake like as if it were too dry and or maybe sitting in a hot warehouse for a while. Took quite a bit to kneed it together and get it mixed up just right.I was tempted to put a few drops of water to relieve the dryness but my repair area was not that big to bother. WARNING this stuff gets on everything, wear plastic gloves (comes with a pair) and make sure you don't touch anything else. The top of my ladder now has some of the stains from this product and will not come off.I was happy once the product turned rock hard in a few hours and the next day I was able to sand it down with no problems. You will need a 60 grit sandpaper to make a dent in this product once hardened.I would recommend for the price point and the quantity you get at that price point. If you found the review Useful, please click the HELPFUL button. Thanks!

Excellent Product
I had three awning windows made from pine which suffered dry rot and water damage. Pella wanted $750 each to replace! Cheapest with vinyl was $350 each and had to paint myself. This product allowed me to rebuild the window, paint and looks like new! Take even amounts from each, mix and roll in had until color of silly putty and your ready to be creative. Easy to work with, lots of play time so no rush. Large area will require a build up but it works great!

Works very well
one you mix it up. you get about 10 min. to apply. do the best you can to get the finish that you want. Sanding it is hard to do.Like any epoxy give it 24 hours to set.

Match texture and finish while it is still moist.
Used to repair a section of wood that had been damaged by termite. Still in the process of repairing. Will need two extra tubs but it's looking ๐. Once it dries, it is hard as a rock. So make sure you give it its desired finish. 15 to 20 minutes before it starts getting hard.

Use rubber gloves and mix thoroughly.
I used this product to repair a rotted corner on the fascia boards of my home. I think it worked very well. I ended up mixing two separate batches. The first batch worked great. The second batch stayed soft/pliable for several days. I am sure I did not get it mixed as well as the first batch which hardened within a day. Measuring and mixing the product is the difficult part in my opinion. Overall I think its a great product and plan to use it again on another spot where squirrels chewed the fascia.

Decent product
I used this item as it came Recommended from a youtube video. It's easy to use but make sure you have gloves on ..the scent is not that great, mine arrived a little on the DRY side(like play doh that's starting to dry a bit) but that also could be that I waited about 5-6 months to use it but its still good enough that I could mix it by hand like play doh. I have so far used it on 2 project and on another one soon..it seems to do the job better than I had thought.Yeah I would buy it again.
