For the last two+ years I’d been taking GLP-1 meds. I finally just couldn’t take the side effects plus they got worse. I asked my chiropractor for something to curb hunger. She recommended this specific product. I did some research and checked with a couple of my doctors to make sure there wouldn’t be any unexpected reactions with meds. I started off taking them 1 in the AM and 1 in the PM. My blood sugar stays below 100 every morning and where the doc wants it to be through out the day. Helps curb my appetite so I don’t get the munchies. Works well for me. But make sure you check with your providers to make sure there isn’t any potential problems.

I have been taking these now for 3 months, and I will go off for a month. I definitely feel better and see more of an improvement than when I have been on metformin. Be very careful with this - it can deplete Choline and B vitamins as follows: Increased Need for Choline in Bile Formation - Berberine increases bile acid turnover by inhibiting bile acid reabsorption (via FXR suppression and BSH inhibition). This increases demand for phosphatidylcholine (PC) in bile, since PC is a major component of bile and essential for forming bile micelles that protect bile ducts from detergent-like damage.. The liver uses choline to synthesize PC via: • CDP-choline pathway (Kennedy pathway) • PEMT pathway (methylation of phosphatidylethanolamine → PC) Net effect: Berberine increases the liver’s need to replenish bile phospholipids → higher choline utilization.
