Rhett & Link's Book of Mythicality: A Field Guide to Curiosity, Creativity, and Tomfoolery

Pure R&L, but so much more. An entertaining escape from day to day concerns, but filled with subtle "lessons", for lack of a better word, that you can't help but apply to making your own life a bit better, with reminders of what's good in life, and how to enjoy it. The book knows what it is, but through its honest and uplifting nature can't help but be more. I ended up getting the Audible version, as well, to have a chuckle and a little brightness on the go, whenever I need it. If you already enjoy R&L, this book is a must. If you're not familiar, but like fun, happy reads, R&L's Book of Mythicality is well worth a go, and a great way to get to know these two intelligent, thoughtful, hilarious, relatable guys, who are certaily very well worth getting to know.

I have been a GMM fan since extremely early on in the show. What can I say, these guys get it. The book is incredible! It is the perfect balance between the essence of adulthood and reminiscing over their childhood growing up together building on their lifelong friendship. Full of quirky humor and interesting concepts all throughout the book. If you are a TRUE MYTHICAL BEAST, then this book is a MUST OWN. (Especially if you are going to one of their tour shows : It will prepare you for it ) If you have never watched Rhett and Link in either Good Mythical Morning or their original context of (Rhett and Link) This book is a good way to get to you interested in checking out their creations. Birthday present, Christmas present. There is things in the book for ALL AGES to enjoy. Thank you Rhett and Link for making such an awesome book.

I've been watching Good Mythical Morning on YouTube for a couple years now and I continue to be amazed at the odd and crazy ideas that these two, and their mythical crew, regularly come up with. I became hooked to the show they very moment that I stumbled upon one of their Will It? episodes. The show was full of crazy antics, scientific experiments, disgusting food, and a tons of fun. My husband and I started watching the show together daily and now my four year old even loves Rhett and Link. If you're a fan of Good Mythical Morning or just curious about ways to make your life a little more mythical, I definitely recommend the Book of Mythicality. There's tons of fun content, hilarious tales of their childhoods growing up in Buis Creek, North Carolina, hijinks and experiments they've done for YouTube and ways to improve your relationships, friendships, and just your life in general. It's a fun reminder to not take yourself too seriously and to just enjoy the process of life while you're living it. I can't wait to see what else Rhett and Link have in store for the Mythical Beasts. Rating: 5 Stars

I'm a big fan of Rhett and Link, and their show, Good Mythical Morning. In fact, I've been a big fan dating even further back than that when I first saw their commercial for Red House Furniture on the internet so many years ago. I watched and enjoyed their short lived show, Rhett and Link: Commercial Kings when it aired on IFC back in 2010-2011 as well. These guys have a winning formula. Best friends since first grade, both with big entertaining personalities, they riff off each other and play to each others strengths and weaknesses in a way that only a lifetime of friendship can allow. And they are very funny. When I heard about the book coming out, I worried that it would be a largely unsubstantial offering of pictures and captions with no real cohesion or value in it. And it is. But it's also a surprisingly detailed look into the personal lives of these to "Internetainers,' with both of them writing individual segments to flesh out details of the bulk of the book written in a collective voice. They share entertaining stories of their childhoods and their friendship throughout the years, their formative years in high school and college, their marriages (the chapter on which has segments written by their wives and is in my opinion one of the more insightful and funny chapters of the book), and their overall philosophy of "Mythicality.' The book is filled with just an insane amount of pictures from all these aspects and time periods of their lives, and wonderful trivia and easter eggs for long-time fans of the performers and the show. And the book is really high quality too. Nothing was scrimped on here. A great, solid, well bound hard cover with beautiful glossy page stock filled with colorful images and well designed and laid out text. Oh yeah, and it smells great too (if you're into that kind of thing). If you're already a Mythical Beast (the term Rhett and Link use to refer to their fans), then this book is a no-brainer. You're going to love it. If you only have a passing interest in the duo, this book will likely make you into a fan. If you've never heard of these guy and have no idea what all the fuss is about, then read this book anyway.

My (adult) son is a fan of the show. He already had the cookbook, so I got him this for a Mythical Christmas. He was so amused by some of the excerpts that he read them to us outloud, so it was a nice bonding experience for us as a family.

Mythicality is real and you need it in your life. How do I, a stranger on the internet, know you need this element in your life? Because everyone does! Creativity, curiosity, and tomfoolery are things everyone needs. It helps make life more interesting and fun! Who couldn't use a little more fun? This book makes me extremely happy. It's a true feel-good read that makes me laugh, tear up a little bit, and inspires me. The stories shared by Rhett and Link, friends since first grade, are genuine and fun. I highly recommend this not just for the Mythical Beast but also for anyone who needs a little fun, creative, inpsiring push. Make your life mythical by enjoying a warm beverage by the fire while you read this book. (Just don't spill that beverage on the book or your lap because ouch!)

O livro é um scrapbook da amizade dos dois, mas muitas das histórias já foram contadas no programa. A parte gráfica é lindíssima, é um livro muito bem feito. É interessante ler o livro depois de ouvir o Ear Biscuits sobre os Anos Perdidos e ver como eles conseguiram evitar total o assunto

I have been watching this guys for years but during this quarantine I finally subscribed and have become part of my morning, to keep the despair away... This book is great, loved it from begging to end. And made me truly smile and laugh at some points. Even not for fans, the Mythical approach to life is certainly something I’m missing. I’m glad I read this, it was inspiring.

My copy came with a few creases on the hardback, but perhaps that was to do with the shipment from wherever this product was dispatched all the way to the United Kingdom. Either Way, Rhett and Link's Book of Mythicality is a charming book that any fan of Good Mythical Morning and Rhett and Link can relate to. It's filled with trivia about their lives, the things they get up to, and quirky, dymanic facts and opinions. It's difficult to summarise what's in this book adequately with a simple sentence, but again, fans of GMM will probably relate to it more than those who aren't familiar with Rhett and Link. I'd recommend it though for sure. It's something you can dip and dive into without reading it from cover to cover.
