Really good overall M&A book
Having read a dozen+ books on M&A, I don't expect to find a lot of new insights. Surprisingly, this one delivered 5 solid items I've now added to my knowledge bank even though it was still a generalist / high-level book on M&A.

Very generic M&A legal process overview
As a professional who spent almost 12 years on structuring M&A deals on emerging markets, I wouldn’t call this book “M&A from A to Z”. It is a fairly generic, high level book about M&A process from a transactional lawyer point of view.It is a very US-centric good overview about general legal implications of M&A process. All strategic and financial aspects of the deal making process are covered pretty much tangentially in this book.

Excellent M&A reference, focused advice and strategy.
Andrew is extremely knowledgeable in the field of M&A. He is actively engaged in the field - the advice in this book comes from relevant, current experience. You can spend your whole career gaining the knowledge in this book, or just buy the book. You'll have the right questions, answers, and an in depth understanding of the process no matter which piece of the deal you are working. Get this book - It is an excellent reference. My company is currently going through an active acquisition / integration strategy, and I am very happy to have this comprehensive resource to help guide me through the process from start to finish.

THE Playbook for M&A Activity in 2018 and Beyond
I'm STILL waiting for Andrew Sherman to write a bad book! It's now 27 gems and counting!!The middle market in M&A for 2018 and beyond is white hot. Over $50 trillion in intergenerational wealth will transfer over the next 20 years as baby boomer business owners and founders transition their businesses to the next generation, employees, or to third party strategic and financial buyers. This is THE book to help navigate you through these murky but exciting waters. I will recommend it as required reading for all of my entrepreneurial clients.

In the weeds on regs and legal docs
I really disliked this textbook. I found it to be in the weeds on regulations and legal docs while barely scratching the surface on important topics such as valuation. There are hardly any numbers in the book; the whole thing is just a qualitative and often repetitive description of the processes associated with M&A. I didn't feel like I got much out if reading this.

Good book for M&A theory
It is great book for premium market M&A, a lot of theories. I personally won’t recommend this book for beginner.
