Fit fine, no heat, not for high/low or dimming.
The media could not be loaded. Much better than a halogen in the heat department. However, the LED light in my particular housing, on the low setting, has a bit of a fluctuating pulse. It's a frequency that's hard to tell from the naked eye but, it could give some people headaches. It's not as dramatic as the video makes it out to be but, the frame rate hits it just the right point where it starts to flash in a video. It does not flash! Not recommended for any form of dimming application (Not 2-way/3-way/ Dimmable).

Good bulbs, natural color light as described
After having tried several different brands with varying color temperatures, we settled on this set of "natural" color G8 LED bulbs and are very pleased so far. A few notes:1) Even though many of the sellers / brands seem to vary, the bulbs, packaging, and literature appear exactly the same as others from other sellers on Amazon; we suspect that they're coming from the same factory.2) Given #1 above, it is odd that the rating on these was a bit lower, as at least so far, we can't see a performance difference. All bulbs in the package work, the light color is as described, though we can't speak to longevity.3) Speaking of light color, these were the only G8 LED bulbs we could find on Amazon that have a 4000K color temperature--just right for us. The standard 6000K daylight felt too sterile inside our home, and the warm white, at 2700-3000K, felt too yellow. So this was the Goldilocks of G8 bulbs for our particular preference.4) We like the power efficiency and lower thermal temperature of these bulbs. Much better than the halogen and xenon bulbs they replace.

OK but dimming mine caused strobe-like effect.
Had them for about a week. Generally OK, except that my lights have a “dimmed” mode where the brightness is halved and unfortunately while these bulbs do dim they also reduce their frequency rate when you do. So it makes you dizzy, similar to the effect of a strobe light (except still faster frequency than that.) Your eyes can’t perceive the flicker itself, but can perceive the effect it has on seeing movement. Happened with every one, so not a defect. They were also more white than I expected but that’s not too surprisingly since it’s brands rate their bulbs in kelvin differently; they might be accurate, I wouldn’t know.I ended up buying different ones that didn’t have these problems with my light fixtures.

Works well in our GE microwave after modification.
Two of these are almost as bright as the 50W halogen originals in our GE microwave oven. However, the ceramic sockets have a shallow rectangular pocket that prevents these G8 LEDs from inserting securely. Because the molded TPU (?) housing is soft, the trick is to carve away the first 4-5 mm of the length to leave about 2 mm on either side of the pins. Use a razor blade or X-acto knife. The color is much more blue than all the other 4000K LED lighting in our kitchen. It appears to be about 6000K.

Great dimming range
I bought these to get brighter lights from my under cabinet puck lights. They worked great! The old bulbs were 20 watt xenon that were way more yellow in the color temp than these. These are much brighter and provide a much more usable work area in my kitchen than the old ones.I'm able to dim these down to about 7 percent and get a good night light effect. For general use I run them around 60 percent compared to the old bulbs that I ran at 100 percent. I don't notice a difference in light output between 70 and 100 percent though. I use these with a GE zwave in wall smart dimmer 12724 and I have 3 pucks wired to it. I replaced all 3 of my bulbs even though only one was burnt out to keep them consistent. These bulbs are bigger in diameter than my old bulbs and they actually hit the glass of my puck lights. Since the bulbs are clear soft rubber instead of glass, I was able to close the pucks just fine anyway. The attached picture was taken with only my 3 puck lights on. All 3 have these bulbs in them and they were set to 40% brightness at the time.

So far, so good
Just received these so I can't speak to their lifespan yet. I am replacing 35W halogen bulbs in my undercabinet fixtures. The halogens would get very hot and would melt a frosted cake or stick of butter. I am happy to use less energy as well as reduce the scorching heat under and above my cabinets with these LED's. My fixtures do have a low/high switch but I keep them on high, so dimming is not an issue for me.The color of these is much cooler than the orangey/pink color of the halogens. Photo shows the new LED's in the left and old halogens in the right. They looked like they cast an odd greenish hue at first. I'm getting used to them now and the color looks a bit less green the longer I view them. I had no issues getting them to fit the fixture. They are shorter than the halogens but a bit larger around.

Trimmable soft rubber saved the day [and the rating]
Got these to replace my GE OTR micro hood [WB25X10019 lamps] and match our new [4000K] kitchen lighting. Had to trim the soft rubber at the base to fit into the recessed sockets but was easy to do, glad they're not plastic or glass. OTR Light has high and low (night light) settings so I got these for the dimmable feature. However, they flicker when dimmed, almost distracting. I'll leave them installed since I went to all the work of trimming and fitting them. They work & look great on high [normal] setting. The light output is more like 4500K; not as blue as 5000K, a little whiter than our other 4000K lamps but acceptable behind the diffuser lens. Lumen output matches the former halogen stock lamps so, I'll call it a win; especially for the energy savings, easy trim rubber and overall appearance.

Bright blue utility blue
My bad…it’s Blue light…. 5000k is usually the threshold before the LEDs blue.I bought these for undercabinet lights. Hindsight… under cabinets need to be warm…less than 4000k and maybe down to 3000k.I am returning these under prime.
