It does not occupy a large place in my kitchen but it works well when I want to weight seasoning and it is to a very little amount.

Once I figured o ut where the oz setting was it was easy to use and takes up little counter space

It’s very small, hard to see with a plate on top. Works very well and easy to understand.

Unit arrived very poorly assembled. The top plate of the scale was crooked, misaligned with the lower scale body, and some delicate wiring underneath was sticking out through the gap below the top plate. It was not calibrated out of the box.The sticker on the bottom of it says "AAA/USB Charge" (which is odd, since there is no USB port) and "NOT LEGAL FOR TRADE MADE IN CHINA". lol. So I guess I got myself a black market scale from Amazon? Will the FBI kick Bezos' door down for smuggling illegal kitchen scales?For $7.99 I can't cry over this. I peeled off the bottom sticker that warns me of my illicitly imported scale, gently removed the two screws revealed beneath holding the top plate on, carefully tucked away the wiring where it belongs, reinstalled the top plate and tightened it down perfectly aligned with the scale body, then I fired it up again. Works fine.Oh, also, no calibration weight is included. For some reason I was expecting one? Silly me.It is what it is. I'll give it 3 stars because you get what you pay for.We should be able to build things like this in the USA. Why isn't that possible?
