Second round, still not so great.
We received our first cup of caterpillars and all were dead upon arrival. 😔 we sent those back and received our second cup.. two of the caterpillars were crushed and dead, two survived. I feel bad sending them back through the return process, in the mail , because I don’t want the two survivors to die. We are going to keep and raise those two..I’m feeling upset about the ones that passed and annoyed about the price and process. Definitely going to do my research about finding wild caterpillars and saving them to properly raise them- so I am no longer putting them through the mail and jeopardizing their lives.☹️

I feel like the instructions are not thorough enough. The way the caterpillars attached looked nothing like the photos so I was a bit worried about how they’d hatch. And I was right. Two came out deformed then passed.It’s a lot messier and not as straight forward as they make it seem lol as nature is.I would purchase again only at a discount.It was a beautiful experience but I was googling a ton.

Insect lore is the only place to buy caterpillars
I buy these every year for my daycare. I have tried cheaper brands, none of the butterflies made it. Went back to Insect Lore. Never fails. 5 caterpillars, five thriving butterflies

These healthy caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies
Every Spring we order from this company. The caterpillars come tiny and eat all the food in their surroundings. Then they grow into healthy caterpillars then in turn chrysalis and turn into beautiful butterflies!!!

dead caterpillars
Only one caterpillar arrived when I first ordered this product, and it was dead. I requested that the same product be replaced, and four caterpillars arrived, but they were also dead. My children were thrilled to watch the transformation and waited with anticipation. Perhaps I am unlucky with them.I'm not going to reorder.
