Classic alpargata style, canvas upper, elastic gore for easy fit, suede footbed. TOMS Shoes was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie. The shoe is a unique slip-on design comprised of clean lines and lightweight fabrics in vibrant colors and prints. TOMS was founded when Blake was inspired on a trip to Argentina by the traditional, rope-soled Argentine "alpargata." He was struck by the poverty and health issues of the country, and set out to reinvent the alpargata for the U.S. market, and in doing so to accomplish one goal: Making life more comfortable for those without shoes. To realize this purpose, Blake made a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a donation of a pair to a child in need. It's simple: If you buy a pair of TOMS, the company will give a pair to someone in need on your behalf. During its first year in business, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes, and Blake returned to Argentina to lead his first annual Shoe Drop during which he donated to the children who had inspired him. TOMS Shoes are now available in multiple colors and fabric combinations for men, women and a recently introduced line for children, aptly titled Tiny TOMS.

Not going for a second pair - run small and no support
This is my first pair of Tom's and I'm somewhat confused by the rave reviews I see on Tom's products elsewhere. The red pair I bought are cute, but they are not comfortable at all. There is zip, zero, zilch support. I've bought better shoes at Big Lots and certainly cast off shoes at thrift shops. Given that I've never procured shoes directly from Tom's, I can't do a comparison to say whether this is standard quality. Again, cute if you'll be sitting all day long. Also, they feel small. 90 percent of the time, I wear a 9.5, but these were hard to get on my foot. If you are often a 9.5 but ever wear above that for any brand, I'd try to size up. If these were comfy and I were to get again, I'd pick a 10. They aren't comfy though, so I won't be buying another pair

Don’t do it.
“MADE IN CHINA” these are not real Toms. I ordered a full size up from what I usually wear as I’m pregnant and they still fit very tight...and I was hoping I could slip them on; nope, I still have to fully assist them. Not the best feeling. Any way, the place you put your foot in entirely is too small and doesn’t feel forgiving, and the sole of the shoe feels like some cheap Dollar General shoe. I mean sheesh what a freakin rip off.

Nice versatile shoe, but no arch support.
Got these for their versatility and reputed arch support. They are good enough for my business casual job, especially in the ash color I chose (goes with everything) but I can’t wear even low cut socks in them. They show, so it looks bad unless I can tuck the socks in a bit, but they shift out eventually. I may try Geks or something, but it’s annoying. Also, there is virtually no arch support. I was recently diagnosed with planters fasciitis and the insoles of these do NOT cut it. However, I mutilated my Toms by ripping out the insoles and putting in a pair of Doctor Scholl’s for PF, and now they are my go-to-shoe. It just sucks that I spent like $50 on a pair of Toms only to have to shove a pair of $20 Dr. Scholl’s in them and then need to go find Geks or some other low sock.... so this is becoming an increasingly expensive shoe choice. I may buy another pair of Toms in the future because they are just plain cute, but I know I will have to invest a considerable amount of money into it. >.<

Very stiff soles, uncomfortable, and very slippery!
I wanted to like them. Especially because of how they donate a pair for every pair sold. I actually have pretty narrow feet and these were instantly very uncomfortable and awkward feeling. The soles are SUPER stiff. I've heard that you've got to break them in, but being so stiff caused my feet to turn out in a very strange and uncomfortable way just to walk. If I tried to force walking properly, it caused my arch to almost feel as if it were pulling or tearing. I'm ok with no arch support, but this was more like CONTRASUPPORT, for lack of a better term... I guess what I'm trying to say is that it felt as if the shoes were intended to cause arch pain. Not just have no support. I was hoping for them to feel more like walking barefoot rather than walking with splints for shoes. But the real kicker for me (the thing that made me decide not to even bother breaking them in) was that the moment I stepped off the carpet onto the linoleum floor of my kitchen I almost learned how to do the splits! The bottoms of the soles were so plastic-y and hard that I slipped right away! I will not be keeping these, nor will I bother trying a different pair of toms.

Disappointed
I apologize, but, I was extremely disappointed with this pair of shoes…. I had been wanting a pair of Toms for soooo long… and finally decided to purchase a pair. I see everyone - well - a very good amount of people - wearing these shoes…. To be very honest, I am not sure how anyone can! This is the MOST DISAPPOINTING FIT I have E.V.E.R. had in my entire life! (I LOVE SHOES!!) The fit was way too small and too narrow for what I normally wear. I have purchased Keds (My all-time favorite shoe.) from Amazon and they fit perfectly. According to Amazon, I ordered the correct size/width. In addition to being too small and too narrow, there was absolutely ZILCH arch support. Eek! If this is the case, how do so many people wear these shoes?!?Please note:I am not saying I will never, ever purchase a pair of Toms in the future. I will definitely try again while shopping IN the store next time. :)

An unfortunate experience
I received shoes marked in my proper size, but they were so small I could not even manage to try them on. Probably they were, charitably speaking, at least two or three sizes smaller and mis-marked. I traipsed in frigid weather to the post office for the long and arduous return process. It took quite a bit of time for this exchange to finally be credited to my account. This was an unfortunate and time-consuming experience with too much agitation attached, and not recommended.

Technically they did fit, BUT.
I was really hoping for a pair of nice looking, comfortable, slip on shoes. I thought these would do. Technically they do fit but the canvas fabric has no stretch to it. It was very difficult to get these shoes on and after they were they were pretty uncomfortable. The top fabric rubbed the top of my foot when I walked, the heal of the shoe dug into me, and the sole of this shoe is so thin and has so little cushion that you feel everything as you walk. I think you just need to have tiny feet and order slightly large to make these work.

Comfortable but not Durable
I have had these shoes for a couple months and bought them as easy throw on shoes to walk the dog or when I'm running to work, etc. I don't do a lot of walking in these shoes; I work in an office, so these shoes take relatively little abuse. They are extremely comfortable for what I use them for however, they offer little support or cushion. This is not an issue for me, but may be for someone else. What I do take a huge issue with is the fact that after just a few short months of little wear and tear, these shoes are already falling apart. The stitches are literally coming apart on one of my shoes.Pros:ComfortableEasy to slip on/offVersatile for stylingCons:No supportNot for wet weatherNot for rocky/rough terrainNot durable

Very comfy
These are genuinely very comfortable. I like that they could be washed but I have had no need yet.Sizing is the only issue. I read a lot of comments saying they magically transform, I didn't find that! I am usually a 6 and that is fairly generous. I do have quite wide feet though and a broken/damaged toe so I didn't want to risk too small so got a 6.5. I could get them on but it took probably a full 5 minutes. Then they were very uncomfortably tight. That did get a little better and I wear them but they are still awful to get on. But they were far better on my weird feet than I was expecting so I got 7.5 and these are so much better, they possibly are fractionally big but I like them so much more.I can't fully comment yet on durability as I haven't had them that long. But the sole looked like it had significant wear after first use, so I really hope they last well.Personally I think they are a bit ugly, but since I'm function over fashion the comfort wins and they are very comfortable! As long as they last OK I will definitely be buying again.

True to size.
I’m a UK size 5.5 - 6. I ordered a 6.5 as I’ve previously had Toms and a 6 was too small. These ones were actually too big. Should’ve stuck with ordering a six. I returned the 6.5 and ordered a 6 and they fit perfectly. Not too tight to start off with, and there’s scope for a bit of stretch. A good price…pleased with purchase. Thank you.

Love these!
I love Tom's anyway and have loads of pairs. I purchased these for work as the colour makes them more versatile and I love them, I've actually ended up wearing them everywhere else. Top tip for Toms, always go up by half a size (I'm a 7 and purchased 7.5) and they fit like a glove.

Very comfortable shoes!
I bought these for work as I'm on my feet all day and they're so, so comfortable. I got a (UK) size 6.5 even though I'm a 6, and they fit fine, great with socks on (especially now that it's getting cold and the socks are getting thicker!) but are a little too big without socks. They aren't as stiff now after a month of wearing them but still fit great.

Order bigger than normal size
Colour great but much smaller than expected so would recommend ordering a size bigger than normal.
