Go for it without hesitation. You can use them as true near field monitors with perfectly flat response, or at the press of a button turn on the music mode for a subtle addition of color (boosts the lows and highs a bit). The volume and power controls are in the front which makes them an excellent desktop PC speaker. Bass and Treble knobs are at the rear. Compared to the R1280’s the MR4 has a tighter low end possibly because of the reinforced MICA drivers compared to paper drivers. Input options include balanced 1/4-inch (6.35mm) TRS inputs for professional gear , as well as unbalanced RCA to AUX (3.5mm) input (cable supplied). The bass exhaust port is in at the back (unlike my 1280BT which has it in the front). This means you cannot place it flush against walls as it might cause booming or jarring. Don’t get the MR4 if you plan to wall mount. I got the white version simply because it was cheaper. But it goes really well with my mostly black PC and white table. The speakers are well packed in manufacturer packing (white cloth wrapped speakers, packed in plastic and then placed in cardboard egg crate type protection). Amazon external packing was just a ripped and taped paper bag 👎🏻). If you’re looking to get 1080BTs please don’t do it. For a little more you can get these excellent and best in price range MR4s. Although they don’t have Bluetooth like the former. If you really need Bluetooth and remote then I will recommend the R1280DB which have been working flawlessly for the last 5 years.

I have purchased this for listening to my songs and some youtube. I have no planned on music production r mixing. I thought about audiophile speakers and ediifer 1280DB and finally went with this for the looks and closer to flat eq I am listening to it as NFM with 70-80 cm of distance with a mobile dongle DAC. Sound wise - clarity and staging excellent for the price. Even though the drivers are small, bass is well rounded. Vocals are great and feels like coming from the centre of the speakers. Treble is also better clarity than my Bluetooth soundcore speaker. Basically whatever Bluetooth setup you have, this is a tremendous upgrade for the price. Look wise - really great! There is colour difference of white in the front panel and the side panel. Cons - I have read about hissing sound in various Reddit posts and it is there at any volume levels and audible outside at highest volume level. But I dont think it’s affecting the songs. (I have to only crank up to a maximum of 60-70% for my listening purpose) Conclusion: It’s a good a purchase to anyone who is looking to upgrade from Bluetooth speakers to a wired stereo.

I checked and watched so many reviews and comparison and found that no studio monitor of this size and price will produce good bass. MR4 is the same. No sub-bass. Build quality: Made of MDF with good finishing. Looks sturdy. Buttons are good as well and have tactile feel. But it's twitter dome is made kf soft material and exposed too. So a little push of pinky finger or nail can damage it. So clean the speaker carefully. Sound: Sound is clear and crisp minus the sub-bass. If you don't have sound-proof room or have a big room then the bass will be negligible. You can increase bass with the knob behind but it won't change much. It produces good mid range. If a song has full range bass then it will sound good overall. EDM sounds good. Better if you buy a sub-woofer separately then it will become a great full-range 3-way audio monitor system. Big suggestion: Don't buy speakers without listening to them. Go to a nearby store and then only buy. Edifier, being a top brand in bookshelf speakers, should open their experience centres in major cities. It will help a lot.

Product is great. The audio seems very balanced. Good for small spaces. Might need a sub woofer for slightly better base response for a larger space.

Previously had the Logitech Z623 speakers. This is essentially the same price. Was wondering if this would really be an upgrade, and to me it was, although it MAY vary according to your use case. If you have a small to medium sized room, and you're using it for entertainment - gaming, movies or music, this is simply better. The clarity on this is so good you won't have to rewind movie dialogues to hear them a second time. I use it mainly to game, and it just has such good imaging and clarity that I love it. The bass on it is sufficient as well without muddying up the mids. The Z623 excels at being a bass heavy boombox and it is probably better for large halls that's more suited for a party style environment when you have your friends over or something. I don't have friends and my house is 1200 sq ft with two 400sq ft bedrooms, so the MR4s are the easy win for me. I'm guessing any room up to 700sq ft should do fine with the MR4s. Anything larger, I'm guessing it may start to fall off, but that's just a guess. If you have such a large room, why are you looking at budget speakers?

Easy to use. Sound Quality is good as per the price range Size is good for the speaker Doesn’t have any Noise. Obviously not ideal for mixing songs, but Doesn’t boost or tailor any particular sound, so reference mixing can be done easily. Overall value for money.

Amazing for the cost! Every note is so crisp and clear. Really good for video editing and bonus - they sound so clear while listening to music. Don't expect super heavy bass, but it's realistic and really good. Will share an update after a few weeks. For now, I am just impressed!

These studio monitors are good at this particular price ₹11K but the thing is a good audio interface or DAC is required! The knob is the power button, which we have to press every time there is a power cut. I will prefer suggesting you to keep the knob at 12 to 11 o’clock position.
