Good Seller. Chinese Guitar.
Shipping very fast. Great seller. Disappointing guitar. The neck, body and truss rod were all misaligned. Huge gap where the neck attached to the body. The 25.5" scale felt smaller than advertised. The frets were small. Bridge not very good for palm-muting. Pickups were really bad (low-output). I returned the guitar quickly and bought something in a higher price range from a different manufacturer.

Good but needs some work
This guitar isn’t perfect but for the price it’s pretty good. First off it doesn’t come with the gig bag in the picture as advertised. There are some rough spots but not enough to bug me. The fretboard is different. The gloss finish will get some getting used to. Over all not a bad guitar for the price

Hard to beat for the money
For $200 , my mind is presently blown.. Yes the pickups are not the best , three way switch is plastic feeling and strap buttons are cheap. A little tinkering and it sounds good . The quality of the instrument over all is awesome . I’ve paid a lot more and got a lot less . I very happy

Awesome!!
AWESOME!!!Couldn't believe my eyes after going over the guitar. Only guitar knobS were little brittle and higher fretboard side was little rough needs better sanding. The new fretboard material HPL? Is very slick like butter. U can really play fast on this. It looks like plastic. But im sure its not. ..after using deoxit on knobs everything was fine. Not too bad for under $300 my 1st Grote guitar

Wanted to like this guitar
I have many Grote guitars now. For the most part the instruments are very good, playable and look good. This particular guitar had issues straight out of the box. The first thing I noted were problems with the finish with, what looked like missing varnish and uneven paint. This was not horrible but not impressive. When I plugged in the guitar the real issues showed up. There was nearly no sound from the pickup. I turned the volume control to max and got not much more than a whisper. I cranked my amp up to max volume and was able to get some sound. I played around with the guitar trying different setting and still had no sound. Finally I boxed the guitar up and retuned it, with sadness. I really wanted to like this guitar. The look/design is eye catching. I have loved my semi hollow LP and solid body LP guitars from Grote as well as other Grote guitars. I just wish this instrument was of the same quality.

A mess
Great sounding pickups but the guitar was a squire mess, the bridge tuning system was cracking and popping while tuning well trying to tune the setup was one of the worse disasters I ever seen on a guitar I still think for headless guitars Steinberget is the way to go although where 12th fret and 9th fret positions are because how the neck scale is setup either it does or gives the elusion of everything somewhere else, I sing and play at the same time so I cant always look at my fingerboard for reference so that's something I've found on all headless guitars I've tried
