I was after a small umbrella to fit a rucksack, however as most umbrellas don't usually last long I didn't want to spend much. This item is normally very expensive but was available in black only for under £10!!!. The build quality is what you would expect for a normally experience product. Because it's so well made it is not that light but it should be better in the wind as a reasult. My only negative would be its hard to wrap up due to the thickness of the material. Highly recommend especially at this price.

This is a really nicely packaged compact umbrella that’s perfect for a bag or car to have when you need it. It has an umbrella sleeve which is a nice tight fit to keep it compact but I also like the drawstring packaging bag it comes in as when its wet this was a perfect bag to slide it in to drive home then air dry out later. It has a good Velcro fasten round the outside and while this does take a bit of pulling to get round after it’s been open it does a good job of holding it tight so you can put the cover back on. I love the fast pop open mechanism when you press the button so was perfect in a downpour to open the car door and get it open quickly to get out and under it and once done you can use the button again to pop the top shut away from yourself, so no drops come back on you and then push shut once it’s all dried out later. Overall, for only £13.00 I think this is great value for money, well made and perfect to keep int he car or a travel bag for those rainy days.

The two main things I really like about this umbrella is that it’s a very sturdy umbrella and unlikely to be blown inside out easily, and yet despite being sturdy it’s still very lightweight and you expect it to weigh heavier. The other thing I really like is the button on the handle that opens and also collapses the umbrella. I’ve owned an automatic umbrella in the past which had a strong mechanism when you push the button to open, but you then need to manually close it, which because of the strong mechanism is a bit of a struggle, and not something you want to be battling with in the pouring rain whilst trying to get into your car. This umbrella negates the umbrella battle, and you press the button again to collapse the umbrella with ease. I did struggle to press the button to collapse it in the video, but that was because I was doing it one handed and trying to film. It’s an easy job when using both hands to press the button and hold the umbrella at the same time. The other feature is that it has an SPF factor of 50, so great for wanting to be in the shade and away from the sun, even just walking around on a hot day if you wish to be shielded as most regular umbrellas don’t have that protection. It comes with a cover and fits easily in a handbag, etc. or to store in your car. When you press the button to collapse the umbrella, it collapses, but you then need to put the palm of one of your hands on the very top of the umbrella, whilst holding the handle with the other in order to collapse it fully. It does come with instructions attached to the umbrella which are clear and precise. I will say from the initial photo online it does give the impression of being slightly thicker fabric. Whilst it’s not as thick as the impression it gives online, it is thicker than your average umbrella and it’s totally blackout so you cannot see through it. My only reason behind giving it 4 stars and not 5 is the current selling price of £46. Whilst it is a very good quality umbrella and I expect it to last for some time, I do feel it is very slightly overpriced.

The first time I used this, I sliced my thumb open on a sharp bit of metal. Not sure where. Not wind proof, turns inside out on windy days. The material is permanently creased. After just under a year's usage, the handle will no longer slide back into itself, making it impossible to close the umbrella, so it has to go in the bin. On the plus side, it was an excellent size, fitting into my Kanken mini.

Given the miserable summer we’ve had so far, I was in need of a new umbrella. I’ve tried your usual cheap ones and other more expensive ones - all advertise being wind proof and so you can imagine I was a bit sceptical with this too. I shouldn’t have worried. This is great. So far so good throughout the month of July I’ve had to use this several times a week and occasionally in torrential downpours. Not only does the fabric not get soaked, it doesn’t invert. At all. It’s definitely withstanding the wind. It’s a lovely design - great quality fabric and has a single push button for auto-opening. Don’t point at people, pets, or anything valuable as it opens with some force. Takes a bit of effort to close though but do persist. At £42, it might be more than most are willing to pay, but if it means I don’t have to purchase another umbrella for 2-3 years, this pays for itself! Highly recommended. I got the maroon / red colour and it’s lovely.

I have owned and reviewed multiple umbrellas on Amazon, ranging from small compact umbrellas like this, to big golfing umbrellas and everything in between. If this XIXVON Umbrella was retailing around the £20 to £25 price mark, I could be more forgiving, but at the time of review this umbrella is selling for £42, and I would expect a near-perfect umbrella at that price. The positives are that it does feel very sturdy, and the opening mechanism is simple and easy to use. It also feels strong. I have used it once (briefly) in fairly heavy rain, but with a light wind, and it coped with the wind (although it wasn't very gusty) However, the negatives are that it is just too small to be of any significant use. Whilst my head was dry, not much else was. I have had other compact umbrellas that open to a wider circumference. This may suit a child, but not really an adult, unless it is just to keep the head and hair dry if you have a good raincoat on.

Lo compré el año pasado en marzo y aún sigue estando en muy buenas condiciones, mucho tendrá que ver el cuidado que uno le dé y en lo personal me gusta guardarlo en su funda original, así se mantiene en buen estado. Me lo han hermoseado mucho y me han preguntado donde lo compré ya que es muy raro ver una sombrilla blanca y sobre todo que cubre muy bien del sol, lo he usado bajo el agua y si me resiste muy bien. Elegí color blanco porque tienes es repeler los rayos UV mientras que los colores oscuros como negro o azul atraen más el calor del sol, así que hice una buena compra e incluso ya regalé dos más.

Great umbrella, I love how well made it is and easy to use. The same button opens and closes the umbrella. I used it for 2 hours in the sun and it’s incredible how cooler it felt underneath.

Ho finalmente trovato l’ombrello perfetto! È resistente, leggero e si apre con un solo tocco grazie al meccanismo automatico. La struttura in fibra di vetro lo rende incredibilmente robusto anche con vento forte, senza il rischio che si rovesci. Il tessuto impermeabile asciuga in un attimo, evitando di bagnare tutto quando lo ripongo. Inoltre, è compatto e facile da trasportare in borsa o nello zaino. Davvero un acquisto consigliato per chi cerca qualità e affidabilità!
