The new freezer did not have a lock or latch, these really work, I have put them on my garage fridge freezer door and on the new freezer that is in the garage. They are located high on the doors, so a child can not reach them and I worry less that the door can inadvertently get opened, these prevent disaster in those cases. The adhered immediately, left them sit for 24 hours before latching, they are solid, really solid. I forgot that the freezer was latched on one occasion, these held, did not give way. The fit both the freezer and the LG Fridge freezer door (top of the fridge door) without any issues or difficulties, lined up and installed without any difficulty. They are easy to operate single-handedly, pop up after the trigger lock is activated without hesitation. I would if I had to remove them use filament fishing line to scrape the off, works in most cases to remove solidly glued on "things" from their moorings.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My 5yr old daughter is autistic and still gets into things like a 2yr old. That being said she has no sense of danger and her most favorite thing to do is go for my cleaning supplies and pull all our food out of the fridge/freezer. These locks are amazing and sturdy, but still easy enough for my older littles to use. I use them on everything! Also, I'll add that they look good as well. I most definitely recommend because I've already tested the other popular brands, these were by far the best I've bought.

Initially it seems to work. Not at keeping babies out, though I assume that would work, too. But I'm using it on an old garage fridge with a seal that isn't quite strong enough. Better than a bungie cord, keeps the door all the way closed. Too old to replace the gasket, stupid expensive to even try and have it not work. This is just fine.

We recently moved into our apartment and the fridge is kind of small. When you close the fridge door the pressure pops the freezer open and we lost all our frozen food multiple times. Since installing these we have had no issues. It’s super easy to install and operate. The plastic is durable and looks great. Would buy again but i am sure these will last forever.

We have a tall freezer on the back porch and the wind tends to blow the door open. We unfortunately lost all our frozen meat and had to start over more than once. These locks were fantastic and with just 2 of them in place (one higher up and one lower) have completely fixed this problem! We’ve had these locks for roughly a year!! Love these so much!

These are the best locks I have ever bought. Very solid. It would require a tremendous amount of force to open whatever you are using it on to open. If you have young or special needs children this is an excellent lock to get. The price is more than fair. The adhesive works wonderfully too. Just when you apply them make sure to clean the area first and press down for about 30 seconds.I will be buying these again. Highly recommend.

I've had these refrigerator locks for about a month. They're working perfectly to keep the our refrigerator and freezer doors securely closed. Kept in the garage, I found the doors to have a very poor seal, and was using Velcro to secure them. The Velcro needed to be replaced, and while looking for alternative solutions, I found these locks. The adhesive is holding well. I'm sure the locks are often purchased as child locks, and feel they would work well for this purpose. I only needed 2, and will keep the others as spares. These served my need perfectly, and I would recommend.
