Great book
Everything arrived on time and as advertised. I loved this book when I was a kid. I bought it in the hopes of sharing it with 2 special boys, but they are gone and I miss them so much. HDM and AIM.

A harrowing tale of a boy trying to find himself.
'I wish that I had duck feet' is one of LeSieg's darker, more complex works. On the surface, a light-hearted musing on how a young boy's life could be more fun if he had various animal parts instead of human limbs, nose etc, at its heart this is a deeply emotional journey. The boy in question is wrestling major life issues, from a potentially Oedipal relationship with his favourite school teacher, whose affection and respect he desperately craves, to an even more confused and troublesome relationship with a larger, more Alpha male called 'Big Bill Brown'.A telling moment in LeSieg's fable is the final scene where Big Bill Brown is among the well-wishers, as the boy tries to come to terms with his reality, with the existence that he must live, unable to lean on such carnival tricks as a long tail or an elephant trunk. At the end of this book, as in life, the boy realises that we are all stripped back to the sum of the parts that we actually are and we must learn to love ourselves. I'll admit it. I cried.

Classic
Preschoolers today love this book as much as they did when it was first published in 1965. My class giggles every time we read this book and have great fun imagining other animal characteristics they could have that might improve their lives - or upset their mothers!

ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS
As a child this was one of my favorite books ever. Every time it was available at the school library I would rent it out. Got it now for my granddaughters and they too love it now.

A fun story with a moral.
When my daughter was young, I had to read this to her so often I pretty much had it memorized. Now I have a grand-daughter who is fascinated with ducks so I thought this would make a perfect Christmas gift. It did - but my daughter liked it much better than her daughter did. This is a fun, fantastical story by Dr. Seuss with a simple moral lesson about being happy with what you have.

Just as I remembered it
A beautifully written and fun book. My son had a copy when he was little and we wanted to get one for his baby daughter. It is just so much fun to read and the illustrations are eye catching for little ones. Thank you
