**Update: this is still great! I’ve had it for two winters and it continues to be awesome. I only put it on when we’re expecting more than a couple inches or when I have to go somewhere early in the morning and won’t have much time to preheat and scrape. It’s worth every penny I spent on it.*We’re only one storm in, but I think this is going to work out great! I was out when it started snowing so the windshield was damp with melting snowflakes when I put the cover on. After the storm (about 6”) I cleared off everything but the windshield. I let my son do the big reveal with the windshield cover. We were both impressed! There was a haze of frost on it that I’m pretty sure was from it being damp when I put the cover on. I especially loved uncovering the clean mirrors. Mine are hard to scrape so this was great. Between the snowblower I bought last year and this product this year, I might not have to hate winter! (No, I’ll still hate it. It just won’t be as much work.)

This thing is basically garbage. I live in Minnesota so I get actual ice and snow storms. I placed this on my windshield the night before an ice storm, and while it did prevent a thicker layer of ice from forming (so would almost anything else) I had hell of a time pulling it from the windshield because it froze to it. I also had to run the defroster to get the ice off the windshield that froze to it because scraping did nothing. It was hard to get a good shut in the door because the air movement would put it out and the magnets aren't strong enough to get a good hold. When trying to remove it the straps holding the mirror covers on ripped right off. The only thing saving this from a 1 star review is the mirror covers stayed on and did their job perfectly. Amazon ended up refunding me for the item due to it failing and not being worth returning.

Works perfectly. I ordered this in hopes of not having to scrape off ice from the windshield, and more of a protector as this was my first true winter with snow. I am so happy I ordered this bad boy, it made my mornings easier to just take scrape the back window and side windows and just take this cover off, let the car warm up while i grabbed my things and made coffee and off I was in the morning. If your vehicle is outside on the driveway or street and will be covered in snow, I strongly recommend this guy. It is better if you get the cover on BEFORE it starts snowing, but if not till after, just try and get as much water off the windshield first or it will stick a little when you take it off, but nothing bad. 5 minutes max with the defrosters on when I didnt put it on until after it started snowing and I was on my way.

I have had partial success with this product. Since it's a one size fit all and I have a small car I had to put the magnets on my hood and roof. It still did a good job of keeping out ice and snow but there was still a small layer of ice on the windshield. The pieces that get tucked into the door are long but difficult to keep in the door as you're shutting it. They try and fly out and you need it taunt to help keep stuff off the windshield. The mirror straps work great. Overall not a bad purchase for 12 dollars but does have its downsides.

Gave this as a gift to my son who lives in Washington DC. He loves it! No more scraping snow and ice off his windshield in winter. He’s had a couple of friends also order them now. Highly recommended if you have to park outdoors in the winter!

Eh if you have the time to clean your car just do it the old fashioned way. It’s effective and sure it takes the snow on it off. However if you don’t remove just the right way you just put more snow all over your car. Not to mention if you put it on after the storm starts it will just be frozen to the windshield.

Very useful. The product and texture of material is durable. I wish it had more magnets for very windy days as it allows for loosening across the windshield. Overall it protects the windshield nicely. The covers for the side mirrors is not as useful when windy as they are not able to be secured around the mirror completely.

Very good snow/ice cover. It even has attached covers for the side mirrors. Has magnets to attach cover to your vehicle. However, they are not as secure if there is a big wind. Overall, I am pleased because it keeps snow & ice from my windshields. I have one for my Toyota Tacoma truck & Toyota Highlander Hybrid.
